Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
Perfect Pancakes!! I have been looking for a good scratch recipe for a long time that doesn't have an over powering baking soda/salt flavor but still gets fluffy... this is it! I went on the advice of another review and omitted the butter and added vanilla and they were super fluffy and sooooo tasty!! Thank You!

Movie Star Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
My mom always made us stove top popcorn and therefore that's how I've always made it too. I've never been a big fan of buttered popcorn because it just makes it too mushy and there's normally waaaaaay too much of it. I have to say though that adding the butter to the pan is fantastc and you can adjust the amount to your own liking!!! Thanks for sharing!

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
MMmmmmmmmm!!!! I just made these and followed the recipe exactly (except I doubled the streuel topping) and they came out Fantastic!! They are bursting with blueberries as any good Blueberry Muffin should be. I don't think they will last very long in our house either! This is a DEFINITE keeper! Thanks for sharing!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
This soup was fantastic! All my husband could say was "This is SO good" over and over. I love how easy it was to prepare and it smelled very good all day. As another reviewer recommended, I put in frozen boneless/skinless chicken breasts and shredded them when they were cooked. Instead of using water and chicken broth, I only used chicken broth. Towards the end of the cooking time I tasted it and it had a little bit of a bitter taste. I know that this is not a "traditional" ingredient in tortilla soup, but I didn't want the bitterness, so I added about a cup of chopped carrots and that took care of it and it was perfect. I still can't figure out why it had that taste to it, maybe it is supposed to? When I served it, I garnished with lime, fresh cilantro, chopped avocado, shredded cheddar and tortilla chips. I am going to recommend this recipe to everyone!! Thanks for sharing it :)

Overnight Caramel Pecan Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
I made these for a family brunch. I've always wanted to make cinnamon rolls and when my sister-in-law asked if I could bring "ooey-gooey sticky buns", I thought what a perfect excuse!! They turned out really tasty and everyone liked them. I was a little dissapointed that the caramel turned out more chewy than I expected... but then again I guess that is what caramel is. I will definitely make this recipe again because it was so easy and I had fun doing it! I might try to tweak the caramel topping a little to make it more "ooey-gooey"!

Strawberry Tiramisu Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
I made this last night for my mom's birthday and everybody LOVED it!!! I changed a few things though. I made homemade whipped cream (I like it better than the whipped topping), I added blueberries (just because I had them), when I sliced the strawberries, I sprinkled some sugar over them to add just a bit of sweetness. The last thing that I added was Gran Marnier! I put 1 Tbsp in the cream cheese with the coffee and then added 2 Tbsp to the coffee that goes on the ladyfingers! Oh, I also used (3 squares of) semisweet chocolate b/c that was all I could find. I will DEFINITELY be making this one again!!!
