Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
this is a great, easy recipe. I did have a hard time getting it to thicken as the recipe says it will. I added a cornstarch slurry and then it thickened nicely. It tastes really good though, maybe I'll read some of the reviews and try to do it right next time.

Vanilla Ice Cream V

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
So easy and so delicious! You can use any combination you want ie. Whipping cream, half and half etc. I have made this three times once as is, once with peppermint extract and chocolate chips and once with agave nectar instead of sugar. All three were to die for good!!

so insanely delicious! I used all butter because I don't like cooking with shortening. It was so so good! I used it for my daughter's birthday cake and everyone kept asking about it.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
easy and delicious but trust me when I say it needs more cocoa I added a whole cup the second time because the first time it was so moist and delicious but needed more cocoa flavor. Maybe it's the brand I add but ADD MORE COCOA!

Stovetop Granola

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
I followed the direction except for I added about 3/4 a cup toasted coconut. Upped the amount of oats to three cups instead of two and added cinnamon and vamilla. Next time I make this I will on;y add an extra 1/2 cup oats because with the addition of that and the coconut and not changing the liquids it came out a little dry. I will add more cinnamon next time and at least double the cranberries. I also turned on the oven to 450 degrees and then turned it off and let the granola bake on the cookie sheet for a couple of minutes. I recommend doing this because it dries it out a little and makes it more like granola.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I didn't use cilantro and i didn't use the banana peppers. I really liked the pizza tho and it was like the kind you get at restaurant. I liked it with the whole wheat/wheat germ pizza dough recipe on this website.

didn't use any vanilla and only about 3 cups of powdered sugar. It turned out really good. mix it for a long time to get a creamier consistency.

Chicken Enchiladas

really good! We loves it! I used whole grain tortillas and didn't put the beans on the inside but served them on the side. I also added some cumin and chili pepper to the soup mixture before putting in the tortillas.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
very tasty! The granny smith apples are perfectly tart and sweet at the same time. the issue I had was that I let the liquid part simmer while I was putting the lattice topping on the pie and it over cooked so it just plopped on top of the pie and didn't go in it. I had to peel it of and throw it away and make it again. To make it easy I would make the liquid mixture after you've finished putting the pie together. And do as it says and pour slowly very very slowly. It takes a minute for it to seep in and if you pour too fast it doesn't have enough time to seep in and it just goes out of the pie pan.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
I liked the recipe and the cookies tasted really good- not fantastic, but good. A change I made was to substitute pumpkin pie spice for the nutmeg and cloves, only because thats what I had. Other than that I followed the recipe as is. The cookies don't spread while baking at all so the size you plop them on the sheet as is the size they come out. I personally thought that the recommended tablespoon size was too small and made mine bigger.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
I thought this tasted good. It's much more nutrtional than white bread crusts, but it was more "bready" than what I like. As far as homemade pizza crusts goes though it was excellent. My husband even said that it was the best he's ever had--and he loves pizza so he's tried a lot!
