About this Cook
My favorite foods are soup, squid, and pizza. I love plating all my meals on white plates and taking lots of pictures of my food!
My favorite things to cook
Pizza! There are so many ways to customize pizza to make it different every time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking supper with my boyfriend every night.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking squid for the first time last year and realizing how delicious it is.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I cooked with chipotle peppers I underestimated their super spicy heat. I put too many chipotles in my was almost inedible! It was an entertaining learning experience though; now I know how to cook with chipotles!

Red Chard and Caramelized Onions
Like a few people mentioned below, I left out the olives and capers, because I did not have them on hand. I made sure to add enough kosher salt to season the dish though. Even without the olives and capers this was a DELICIOUS way to serve swiss chard. The tiny bit of brown sugar goes a long way, and is the perfect amount to season the onions and chard. I went the extra mile and added sausage bits and halved cherry tomatoes to the dish, then served it over bow-tie pasta. YUM!

Baked French Fries I
There were awesome, and oh so easy and quick. I substituted the onion powder for parm cheese (as per another slightly different baked french fry recipe on this site). The spices and the parm were perfect together, and the potatoes came out to a perfect consistency. An easy snack or side dish-five stars!

Tiramisu Layer Cake
Fantastic! I used Kahlua liqueur for the coffee flavored liqueur. Like many of the previous reviewers, I doubled the Kahlua everywhere in called for, except in the frosting I used 3T. I made two coffee-flavored layers for the cake, and used about 1/4 cup of the instant coffee for a more intense flavor/color contrast. The chocolate shavings were much easier to make than I thought, and looked so pretty on top of the cake I didn't even have to use the cocoa power for more garnish. I used toothpicks to make the holes when saturating the cake with the coffee/Kahlua mixture-the toothpicks worked out just fine. It took a lot longer to assemble than I anticipated though because the layers took long to cool. Overall a easy (if time consuming) recipe! Two people asked me for the recipe when I served it!
