Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2014
This is a great recipe and perfect for those nights when you don't feel like cooking. I made it exactly as it was originally written, and my only complaint is that it needs to be a little more saucy which is very easily remedied. Other than that, it is a delicious, easy, and fast meal to whip up.

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
I took the advice of some of the other reviewers and modified this recipe slightly. I added vanilla and cinnamon and used a mixture of brown and white sugars. I left out 1/4 cup of flour as one reviewer suggested, but then added it in at the last minute because the batter looked a little too wet - I should have left it out because this turned out a little dry. I also almost added an extra 1/2 cup of strawberries, but changed my mind on that as well - another decision I should have gone with. I will definitely make this again with 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 1/2 cups strawberries. I may or may not add the 1/2 tsp cinnamon, but either way I am willing to bet this will be perfect.

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
This was really good. I don't like standard chocolate chip cookie recipes because they usually have way too many chocolate chips (I realize I am probably in the minority with this opinion). This recipe was perfect with the exception that it was a little greasy - a problem that I find inherent in chocolate chip cookies in general, and not a flaw in this particular recipe. I doubled the vanilla as one reviewer suggested, and I did not add the nuts because my kids won't eat them, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly and baked it on a 16" pizza pan, and the cookie came out perfectly soft and yummy.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
Delicious! I used fresh salsa (which I would highly recommend as this is where the majority of your flavor comes from) and threw all of the ingredients in the crock pot and let it cook all day. My kids put the Monterey Jack cheese on top but I left it off to save some fat and calories. Either way, this is is a fabulous recipe.

Chicken with Quinoa and Veggies

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Yum! I had to use garlic cloves because I didn't have any garlic scapes, and I used three Roma tomatoes and put the zucchini in the food processor to finely chop it so that the kids would eat it. Other than that I followed the directions exactly, and the whole family, including the kids, loved this dish. This is a definite make again.

Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This was my first attempt at Beer Cheese Soup and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. This soup is SO good! I followed the directions exactly except for the beer - I wasn't paying attention and I added two full bottles of AmberBock instead of the recommended 16 oz. That made the soup a little runny, but was easily remedied by making an additional rue and adding it to the soup along with a little more cheddar. I would not recommend using Velveta to thicken this soup as other reviewers have suggested because I think it would completely change the flavor (which was phenomenal).
