Cream Cheese Frosting I

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
The best frosting my grandson Anthony (6 years old) has ever had, he just loves it! We are making some this morning to frost a cake, and have used it to make graham cracker sandwiches. Perfect as written, we always double it!

Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
My grandson Anthony and I were preparing to make Grandpa a bowl of banana pudding, and found we didn't have our usual box of vanilla pudding in the cabinet. So we got brave and decided to make the pudding from scratch and used this recipe. Anthony and I agree that this pudding should get 5 stars, it is easy and tasty! We used a wire wisk for stirring and got no lumps! (Grandpa says he would give it 6 stars if he could!)

Baked Coconut Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
Just finished eating this awesome shrimp! It was easy to make, I followed the directions to a "T" and they turned out great! Made a dipping sauce another reviewer recommended, one cup orange marmalade, 2 tbsp. horseradish, 2 tbsp. dijon mustard. Hubby and son were blown away! I will make this again and again!

Easy Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
This was just what I was looking for! I found someone who used canned chicken, which is what I had on hand. I also only had canned corn and canned mushrooms for veggies, added those and one can each of chicken and alfredo sauce. I sauteed garlic and about one half onion in olive oil, added the canned chicken, then the mushrooms, corn and sauce, sprinkled a little additional garlic powder and onion powder, it is just heavenly! Made it up in about 15 minutes and served over curly noodles, the only pasta I had in the house. Very good!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
This is the perfect cheesecake recipe and I have made it many many times! My neighbor requests a cheesecake from me a couple times a year, and my daughter just called me for this recipe this morning as her husband requested it for Christmas Day! It is so good that a topping, although tasty, is unnecessary! I spray the bottom and sides of the pan, and I place a pan of water in the oven, but I do not put the cheesecake into the pan of water. I also run a knife around the sides of the pan before removing it, as spraying helps, but it still may stick a little. Otherwise, I follow the recipe as written, and it comes out perfectly every time! I agree with another reviewer, if it doesn't work for you, it is definitely not the recipe, it is something you have done wrong!

Colored Sugar

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
What a great idea, why didn't I think of it? I had everything in the house to make my grandson's birthday cake except "sprinkles". Shook it up in a little Tupperware container, so what is left over can stay right in it! This will be perfect, and I don't have to go to the store!

Scottish Shortbread III

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I cannot believe I waited until now to make shortbread cookies, and WOW! Am I glad I found this recipe! I was looking for a festive, but nut-free cookie for my allergic grandson and came across this. I followed some of the other reviewers advice, and added only 4 1/2 cups of flour, and decorated with red and green sprinkles before baking for our Christmas party. (I hope I don't eat them all before tonight!)

Carrot Pineapple Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
I made this cake for my husband's 60th birthday today, and got rave reviews from everybody! I did as one reviewer suggested, and added 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce, also added a packet of baking raisins. For the frosting, I added more chopped nuts and sprinkled the top with some extra coconut I had. I will DEFINITELY make this one again!

I needed a quick pasta sauce, and threw this together in a hurry! I added some basil and oregano, and a few shakes of parmesian cheese, very yummy!
