Broccoli and Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
Fast and yummy!!... I cut back on the butter by 1/2, added the garlic as some posters suggested, used fresh vegies, not frozen and added some almonds that I dry toasted- everyone liked it alot! Thanks for a keeper!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I made this last year- just something to think about: at this time of year deli counters are roasting turkeys for office parties etc. I bought several large containers of turkey broth, simmered it for a while to reduce and used it in place of the chicken broth... a little change but makes it even more like the old fahioned "in the bird" flavor. Thanks for this recipe- what an easy way to make great stuffing!!!

Roasted Sweet Potato Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Really great flavor! I followed the recipe but adjusted it to our taste by: I used 1- 1/2 sweet potatoes, roasted; added about a 1/2 can of drained corn at the end (I wanted a bit more);I also boiled a small, white potato along with the other 1/2 of the sweet potato then pureed it in the blender with a bit of chicken stock for a thickener. We wanted a thick soup tonight. I didn't have veg. stock, so used a carton of chicken stock... Really yummy!! We'll all enjoy this recipe!! Thanks!!

Cake Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Another Upstate New Yorker thinks these are about as close as you'll come to the real deal found at the cider presses in the fall...brought back memories of riding to the country to buy cider and fresh donuts. We called these Fried Cakes. These should not be pale in color but nice and toasty brown!! Nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Great with Cinnamon-sugar! Dunk them in cocoa or coffee too-YUM! Eveyone loved them!! Thanks a bunch!

Jet Swirl Pizza Appetizers

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
I've made this several times and it always gets rave reviews. I line a plate with paper towels and place the pepperoni and salami in single layers then microwave for several minutes to wick away excess grease.

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This was really great... I ground my spices first in my bullet grinder so they would be as fine as possible. I also left out the instant tea and added it to my hot tea from a tea bag. This is so great because you can customize it to your own taste! Thanks. Definitely will be given to a few friends at Christmas!!!

Italian Summer Squash Polenta Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
Hubby and I thought this was very good- better the second day. Polenta didn't fry up easily- will possibly skip that step next time and see how it works out. Used the basic polenta recipe from this site- very easy.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
light and fluffy on the inside but not sure if the temp is right, at least for me. They browned much quicker than it seems like they should have and mine also didn't sink- they floated right away. Good flavor though. Thanks.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
We all started out really liking this but toward the end of the meal one of my boys said the sauce started tasting funky and we all kind of agreed. I used Campbells soup which we usually like. It was very easy to make, just wasn't quite for us. Thanks anyway!
