Alfredo Sauce
My family LOVES this sauce! I use the shredded parmesan cheese, and it does take patience to get it completely melted, but it's so worth it. I've never tried gruyere cheese, but I bought some today so will try it this week. My 7-year-old stepdaughter told her teacher "My stepmom makes THE BEST fettuccini alfredo!" And it's thanks to this recipe! My husband and I LOVE this sauce over potato gnocchi. It is sinfully rich but it's our favorite way to eat this sauce.

Stuffed French Toast II
This was delicious! I made a few changes to the recipe. I used grape jelly (it's what we had), 3 eggs (I only used 6 slices of bread), potato bread (again, it's what we had and it worked GREAT), vanilla extract instead of almond, and also added 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg to the milk/egg mixture. Oh and I used 2 Tbs butter. I know I made a lot of changes, but this recipe gave me a great start and I loved how mine turned out! The cinnamon and nutmeg were a GREAT addition. My husband said it tasted like something you would get at a fancy Bed and Breakfast :-)

Basic Microwave Risotto
My husband and I LOVE risotto and I was so excited to try this microwave version. We always make our risotto with chicken broth so I used it instead of vegetable broth. And we didn't have any onions or garlic so I just used garlic powder. I also followed other reviewers' advice and stirred halfway through the heating time. I was really pleased with how it turned out! It was still creamy and hard to tell the difference from the old fashioned stovetop risotto. Definitely a keeper! Thanks!!
