Fresh Strawberry Pie III

I enjoyed this recipe but would cut back the sugar a bit next time for our tastes. I have a hard time serving strawberry pie in neat slices so I made individual round crusts and placed in bottom of serving glasses. I then topped with the strawberry mixture and topped with whipped cream. This was a really cute individual dessert.

Ratatouille with Polenta Rounds

This is not a recipe I would make again without adjusting the spices and leaving the olives out. I love kalamata olives and cook with them frequently they were an off flavor in this dish for me. The spices were over powering, it would have been nice to taste the vegetables. This could be a great recipe if these changes were made. I knew going into this it was way too much oregano, thyme, and basil but I am a believer making a recipe as written first.

Fresh Salsa I

This was a huge hit at our house. My husband loves salsa and said this is one of the best ones we have had yet. I will be trying to make one with not so much heat by seeding the jalapeños next time.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

These were really good but not the best burger I have ever had. The bacon and cheese were sort of lost in the grilling process. They were very moist and flavorful.

Spaghetti Pizza

The kids loved this and have asked to have it again. 5 stars from them. My husband and I both thought it was good but needed some spices added so it wasn't so bland. I did uses fresh mushrooms since we don't do canned here. With a few tweaks for our tastes we will make this again.

Sundried Tomato Chicken Sausage Ragu with Roasted Eggplant and Tomato

This was amazing! Everyone at our house enjoyed this. The kids asked for seconds and couldn't get enough. The flavors were great and not overpowering. You could add extra veggies if wanted. Would be great served along fried polenta.

Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage, Endive, & Blueberry Salad with Toasted Pecans

I really enjoyed this. I was a little worried about the dressing since there wasn't much too it. All of the flavors went together nicely. A very bright and flavorful salad.

Cobble Bread

This was good, but not a hit with everyone in our house. They prefer the monkey bread with the pudding added. I skipped the glaze since I didn't think it needed to be any sweeter. I did like that it was more like cinnamon bread than soaked in butter and sugar like most recipes. I may make this again.

This was so much better than I thought it would be. The flavors meld well together but not overpowering. I served with warm pretzels. This would be fabulous on vegetables, chicken, steak, really anything.

Dreamy Fruit Dip

Made this as written. The butter provides this dip with more stability and cuts the sweetness factor. Most fruit dips with Marshmallow fluff are very sweet and overpower the fruit taste. This was just the right amount. I will make it again but I will add a touch of vanilla next time.

Roasted Broccoli & Crispy Polenta with Roasted Pepper & Asiago Chicken Sausage

We really enjoyed this. I did cook the polenta longer since we like it more on the crispy side. I also added a bit more cheese than called for. The flavors went well together. I was surprised at the sausages being so flavorful but not overpowering. We will make this again.

As written a 3. I made these twice, the first time they were hard as a rock. I then modified adding some butter to the mix and they were nice and chewy. With the changes I would rate them a 4. We liked them but have used other versions we like better.

Pizza Casserole

For what this is it's pretty good! I did add black olives and left out the green pepper since the kids won't eat it. Next time I make this I will add a little pizza seasoning to it since its a little bland.

CINfully Delicious Chocolate Cupcakes

These are fabulous! They are very light and fluffy in texture and the flavor is so well balanced with the chocolate and cinnamon. I did use heavy cream instead of the milk in the frosting since I like a more whipped texture. I will be making these again and again. Thanks LTH for another stunning cupcake!

Fiber One® Chocolate-Peanut Butter Haystacks

These were pretty good considering they were made with a cereal I am not a big fan of. I made them with my five year old who helped me shape them into hearts for valentines day. He had a blast and enjoyed them but commented that he likes the one with the chinese noodles better.

Rich Butterscotch Bars

I was pleasantly surprised by these. I love butterscotch but I know sometimes in baked goods it can get overly sweet. These were the perfect balance! The filling was creamy and plain which let the crust shine without putting you into sugar shock. I will make these again!

This is ok, not something we would make again. The flavor is good but neither my husband or I enjoyed the carbonation of the beer with the tomato juice. I guess we are Bloody Mary purists and it's not necessarily the recipes fault.
