Raspberry Chiffon Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Pre baked a refrigerated crust and let it cool then followed the recipe using 2/3 of all the ingredients. It barely fit in the crust, but came out wonderful. I used fresh berries, but will try it with frozen when the fresh arn't available.

Hot Italian Giardiniera

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
This recipe is wonderful. I've made it at least 5 times, varying a little each time. I sometimes add some hot pickled peppers and sub some of that pickle brine for the vinegar. We have been adding it to our tossed salad instead of salad dressing. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Great recipe! I added a couple of diced potatoes, and served it with a rotisseried pork roast.

Sweet and Spicy Swiss Chard

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
I made this using some candied ginger I recently made and the syrup used to candy the ginger. It was delish!!! Several years ago I heard someone on TV saying they stored their ginger in some sterile potting soil. I did that and when it started blooming I put the pot outside. I have not needed to buy ginger since. I live in Florida so this might not be the case in colder climates, but if you have some extra ginger you might want to give it a try.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
Really good! Like others have mentioned wasn't sure I would care for it, and was very pleasantly surprised. Used shallots in place of the green onion, romaine instead of leaf lettuce, and a bottled raspberry vinegrette, but kept to the basic principle and would highly recommend.

Phoenician's Key Lime Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
My husband and I loved it. I am not a big fan for graham cracker crust, but with the addition of the almonds I was amazed! I will try that version next time I make cheesecake or any other recipe with a graham crust. We liked the pie so much I am planning on repeating it next weekend for friends coming over to watch football. The only change I made was to add more zest as recommended in another review. Added about 1 and 1/2 teaspoons.

Strawberry Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Very good ice cream. I agree with the reviewer that said she would make a double batch. I used 1 cup cream and 1/2 cup half & half, and substituted a part of the corn syrup with vanilla syrup.
