Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
My grandkids LOVED these!! I used devils food cake mix with white buttercream frosting. I thought they were good - a bit rich for me - and not being a cookie dough lover - I still liked them! My mom always said cookie dough would give you worms :) Aren't we supposed to believe everything our mothers tell us!!? Thanks for the recipe - I'm sure I'll be asked to make them again!

Honey-Mustard Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
I really like this dressing for salads. I did use yougert to replace half the mayo (to cut some calories) and cider vinegar. Surprisingly it needed a bit of a kick for me so I added a little lemon juice. I think next time I will cut back on the oil a bit - again - for calorie sake. Now for dipping chicken...you must try "Honey Mustard Dressing II" -unbelievable!! But this is more what I like for salads. THANKS!

Mom's Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I thought this was very good - especially beings I'm not a big cole slaw fan. I will definatly try the "healthy" version with half broccoli slaw next time. I wanted to use this on top of burgers or BBQ chicken sandwiches so I tried it out last night to see if we liked it before putting it on a sandwich and ruining the meal. I made it with "Mahogany Chicken Wings" & "Juicy Corn on the Cob" and the whole meal was a hit. Next time I will try it on the burgers since I now know its good! Thanks!!

Juicy Grilled Corn On The Cob

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I'm anxious to try this again to see if it really is that good or if I just had some really good corn??!! This totally surprised me - and I didn't grill them - I wrapped them in wax paper and microwaved them. They were great - and I will definitely do it again!

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
YUM!! I'm not into hot food - so was happy to find this recipe. Made them exactly as stated. I used 5 lbs. of wings so I doubled the sauce. This gave me extra to drizzle on top of some brown rice. I also made "Mom's Cole Slaw" (next time I will try the healthy version) - "Juicy Grilled Corn on the Cob" (which by the way is great) and some breadsticks It was a ALLRECIPIES.COM night!!! I LOVE allrecipies and I'm very thankful to all the people that share!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
I have made these several times and they always get rave reviews. The first two times I mixed everything together - NOW I make two thin burgers with all the fixings except the cheese - then I put the cheese in the center of one burger and set the other burger on top and pinch the outsides together to make them sandwich like...no more cheese dripping out. It takes more time but well worth it. Thanks Quicksmyle!

Black Bean Rice Burgers

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I used a lot of the suggestions because they all sounded like they would work to keep the burgers from falling apart. I used a bit of flour - breadcrumbs - a dab of olive oil & sprayed the pan. I didn't use catsup like I normally would - I wanted to taste the flavor to see if I would make them again. I'm sure I will be making them again - they are the best veggie burger I've had so far. Thanks! BTW with all the extras - mine didn't fall apart at all.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
I did mine in the oven - 350 for 25 mins. I marinated the chicken six or so hours---man --- talk about flavor. I cut back on the amounts because I only had two chicken breasts--wish I had more for leftovers!! I served it with some asparagus and of course poured a bit of the sauce on top of both. Thanks Theresa!! This will be a great - someones coming for dinner meal - they'll think I worked all day!!

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
I grew up with a father that kept his eye pealed for asparagus along the highway and railways - when it was ready to be picked---and was gone - he got a bit irate!! So when he was able to get some he didn't care if he shared it or not. In other words - asparagus was the only vegetable that went on our table that I wasn't made to eat. Therefore I never became a fan of asparagus nor made it as an adult---until now. A nice neighbor dropped some off to us from farmers market. I really liked this recipe. I made it as was stated - but I did use some of the marinate from the chicken (Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs)on top. Both were yummy!!

Avocado Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
Followed the recipe - not much flavor - maybe cheese and some onions would help? The bacon helped it along.

Low-Fat Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
I liked this - wish I liked it as well as Bob's Blue Cheese Dressing! :( I have a problem with fat free yogurt getting so watery when I use it for dressings - am I just using the wrong yogurt?? Other than that - I would use this all the time because of the fat free thing and the much healthier fact. Can anyone help me on this please?

Honey, Mustard, and Yogurt Salad Dressing

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
I think this was good - I will probably add a little more mustard for a better kick - twas a bit too sweet. I LOVE honey mustard for dipping chicken - thought this one would be good and much less fattening using yogurt instead of mayo. The only problem I have is it gets so watery - is it the yogurt I'm using?? Are there any suggestions for a low cal better yogurt to use that doesn't get watery?

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
I did change it up with sauteed onion and garlic - blended some of the beans - added brown rice and also threw in some of the turkey I cooked up today that was in my freezer ($5.60 for 15 lbs. :) )since Thanksgiving! I really am enjoying it for quick lunches to take to work! I look at soup recipes as a place to change things up a bit to fit your likes and dislikes. I also didn't use the jalapenos cause that's a bit too hot for me. I will make this again---and probably change it in another way!? Thanks! UPDATE - I make this soup every 2 mos. and freeze in in 1 cup containers - I add a lg. onion sauted - fresh mushrooms - lots of cooked chicken - and shredded carrots - diced tom/gr. chilies..today I'm also going to add a can of blackeyed peas!! Yes - I have changed it a lot - but this is where it all started - I LOVE this soup and I have made it extra healthy!! Again - Thanks!
