Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
I thought this was a very good recipe!!! A bit spicy for me and the kids, but we still ate it up, with lots of water :) I will be making this again soon, just adjusting the cayenne. Thank you again, and I too want to know what you were doing pick pocketing a hobo!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
Very good cookie!!! I always try to alter any recipe to make it my own which I did. I used half butter and half shortning, a bit over a teaspoon of vanilla and as others stated 1 teaspoon of baking soda and one baking powder. My last alteration was added a bag of chocolate chips, which I will call my cookies triple chocolate chip cookies. These were very good!!! Thank you :)

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Very good!!! I made these the other night and they were just as good heated up today. I took some advice from other members and used a can of diced green chilis and I didn't have chicken broth, but I used chicken boullion with the water to make the broth. I omitted the salt. My kids loved them. While mashing them with my wonderful kitchen aid, I added about 1/3 cup of butter instead of the liquid. You know butter, it makes EVERYTHING better :)

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Thanks for the tip! This tea is awesome!!!! I use the family style tea bags, so I used another users suggestion and double the water, use 1/4 tsp. of soda and four family style tea bags. Let it steep and stir in 1 1/2 cups sugar and after sugar melts, 10 cups water. Finally got my tea to where both my husband and I like it.

Tortillas II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
Very good! I used them to make burritos. I wish I would of tested one before being made into a burrite. I only got 6 tortillas from this recipe, I tried to get 12, but they were too little. Before making them again, I am going to get a tortilla press. Thanks for the recipe!

Paula's Bread Sticks

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
My first time ever making breadsticks and I was VERY pleased!!! I did cut back on the sugar to 1/8 cup or 2 TBS. and didn't use the dry milk. I melted the butter and added it to the rest of the ingredients. I don't have a bread machine, so I did it all by hand. The kids loved helping. You DEFINATELY need to have your oven at 400 to get them brown! Thanks for our new recipe we will be using for who knows how long. I am going to try something with the leftovers at breakfast tomorrow. Maybe with icing and a cinnamon sugar.

Fruit-Filled White Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
This was a very refreshing dessert! I made it for my husbands birthday. Whenever you get a bite of the filling with the cake itself, it is like eating strawberry shortcake. I gave it only a four is because next time I will do something different with the icing. Too much of a vanilla chip aftertaste. But the cake was WONDERFUL! I am claiming the white cake as my new white cake recipe. Thanks!

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
So Yummy!!! I also used the green pepper and onion when I fried up my meats. The green pepper adds a bit of color too to the dish. For the meats I used 1/2 hamburger and 1/2 of the Jimmy Deans Hot Sausage. This gave it spectacular flavor! For my seasonings I used garlic pepper and that was it. My boy who is normally a picky eater had three helping so this recipe is a keeper!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
So Good!!! I did a few alterations of my own. While cooking up the chicken I seasoned it with cayenne pepper, salt, pepper and garlic. Along with the chicken, I used kielbasa and shrimp. Made it more hearty! For the mushrooms, I used fresh, don't care for the canned. Also, instead of hot sauce I used Tony's seasoning. I also did my roux with butter. This one is a keeper!
