Cabbage and Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
We just finished our dinner of Cabbage and noodles with onions and bacon. My husband really liked it as did I except that next time I will drain a little more of the bacon grease, otherwise it was a very good tasting dish!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
This was the first time I ever used balsamic vinegar in anything, altho I had a bottle for just in case I ever needed it. When my family walked in the house, they asked what smelled so good. They found out at dinner time! The meat was fork tender and the taste-delicious. Thanks for the recipe and now,my favorite recipe.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
Made this last night following other reviewers suggestion of melting the butter with the garlic and lemon juice. Didn't have parsley so I used dill. I also lemon peppered the fillets before adding the butter lemon sauce. Only baked for 12 minutes for 4 fillets.

Caldo De Res (Beef Soup)

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
My husband and I just finished feasting on this soup. It truly is the best I have made,I followed the recipe except I used beef neck bones(just like my grandma used to do). I cooked the bones for about 35 min then added all the veggies except the cabbage,I added it about 20 min before serving. The lime juice is the key ingredient to make this super special. I sucked on the neck bones, like grandma did. Does that gross you out,too bad, don't knock it til you've tried it.

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
My husband and I really liked this soup. I did not have whipping cream so I used 2% milk, also I used diced chunks of Jack Cheese, yum. A bit of salt and pepper and my picky 15 year old grandson finished the pot.

Slow-Cooked Oriental Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Using chicken thighs I followed the recipe to a t except I did not do the crockpot thing. I browned the chicken in a pan, added all the ingredients, covered it and simmered it for maybe 25 min. Served it over rice. It was very good. My family raved about the flavor.

Mexican Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
I actually made this a few weeks ago and my husband keeps asking when are we having it again. I followed the recipe as written and it was totally awsome. Guess I'd better get the ingredients together and make it for dinner this week.

Creamed Eggs on Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Only giving this 3 stars cause it might have been the cook who made it.I boiled the eggs on Sunday, thinking I would make this recipe for dinner.Hubby brought home some prepared Mexican food,so the eggs got put into the frig. Two days later I made this recipe and was totally disappointed. As I said,it could be the cook but it just didn't taste the way I thought or hoped it would taste.Hubby said it was good but he rarely says he does not like whatever I cook.(lucky me).

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
I have never had a London Broil that was so tender,my husband and teenage grandson really loved it. I made this recipe exactly as the original and it was absolutely great. Gravy was served over mashed potatoes as well as the meat and there was plenty left over to mix in with our dogs dry food (we like to share good stuff with our little girl).
