I made this punch for a baby shower, which was a big move for me because I am a HUGE sherbet punch fan & would normally make that, but I was attracted to the slush element. I froze my gelatin mixture in ziploc freezer bags for approx. 20 hours. The mixture was the perfect consistency and easily turned to a perfect slush. I used about 1 1/2 cups sugar, but I think it could have been sweeter, next time I'll try 2 cups. Also, the taste was just a tad bland to me - next time I will try gingerale instead of lemon-lime to give it a little more kick. But I would definitely make this again because the slush is just so fun!
