The cake turned out really moist, but would describe it more like a cakey-brownie. I apparently didn’t grease the sides of the cake pan well enough and it all fell apart when I inverted it. So to rescue it to be served for a gluten-free potluck (I did use cocoa powder i/o flour in the pan), I made a trifle with raspberries, in a little bit of apple juice, and cool whip. It turned out Great! I brought some of the leftover pieces for people to try on its own and everyone agreed it works better in the trifle than alone.
