Sweet Potato Pie VII

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2001
This recipe was great. I amde 3 pies (which was not enough) I took one to work, sent one to my moms, and my husband and I made short work of ther other. TERRIFIC recipe, great tasting, and quick.

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
At holiday times I have to use this recipe. It's been in my recipe box for approximately 4 years now, and I've made it every year since finding it. It reminds me of the ones my grandma used to make for us. All I can say is now that I have my own family, WE LOVE IT.

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
I am so very late with my review of this recipe. It should be ten stars because it was as uber delicious hit at our cookie exchange party last year. This year my plan, because there was so much left over last year I will be putting this in small containers and giving this away to guests for their later enjoyment.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
My mother in-law pushed a bundle and a half of very ripe bananas on me; looking for me to whip together a nice fall treat. After using this recipe I can't wait for my next surprise banana bundle. I did add an extra banana since I had so many. Also, I added ginger to my dry ingredients as well as to the pan before pouring in and baking.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2013
This will be an easy go to for my family's meals. Dress it up with veggies and/or meat, dress it down like suggested... Either way it will be a keeper!

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
This is a tried and true recipe. I dabble with additional ingredients; including using sour cream or yogurt instead of buttermilk. I've also swapped vanilla extract for my homemade mint extract and added food coloring for a creme de menth pound cake. What can I say, you can't go wrong with the amounts of dry versus wet and playing around with the flavorings. I should have posted a revue long before this because it is a keeper and a staple in my recipe box.

Amazing Lemon Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2013
I've had this recipe saved for quite some time. With the reviews speaking so highly of it I just had to try it out before the New Year to share with my family. So glad I did!!! Two thumbs up all around! When it comes to glaze I'm a dipper or spreader. *shrugs* Either way it's delicious and they still look great. I am sure I'll be making these again very very soon. (maybe tomorrow)
