Super Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
Really good recipe. I put it in the slow cooker after letting the meat marinade for an hour. I think the time in the slow cooker really helped. Meat was very tender and full of flavor. Added cornstarch to thicken sause and served over rice. Very Good!!!!

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
This is an excellent dish. I get rave reviews from everyone I have ever served it to. We had a big soup party at work and I made this. Since I couldn't do the baked cheese on top I took sliced bread italian bread and toasted it in the oven with cheese, then when you put it in the bowl with the hot soup the cheese gets all melty, but the toasted bread stays somewhat firm and doesn't get all goopy. Stayed well in the crock pot all day.

Napa Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This is an awesome recipe! I made this for a famil gathering and everyone loved it. I made this exactly as written the first time - as I usually do - and could not think of anything to do to make it any better. My husband liked it so much that it has become a regular in his lunch box now. I just make sure to pack the salad and the dressing in separate containers.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
I made this exactly as written. Came out tasting a little sweet to me, but my husband ate it with pulled BBQ beef and he thought the sweetness balanced with the BBQ sauce perfectly. I plan to make this again, but may try a sugar substitute next time to make it a bit healthier. Great recipe!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
This was a fantastic recipe. I exchanged ground pork for the beef and used fresh ginger since I had it on hand instead of the pickled. I came out wonderful and I plan to make it many, many more times. Even my 2 year old loved it!

Famous Japanese Restaurant-Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
I absolutely loved this recipe. Followed it nearly to the letter except I left out the Lemon juice as I didn't have any and I used a sweetener substitute instead of sugar (Splenda). This tasted pretty much identical to the dressing I get at my favorite Japanese restaurant. I did as others here suggested and didn't chop up anything, just let my food processor take care of it, but I did mince the ginger root so that I was certain it would incorporate well. My picky husband went crazy for it...great recipe :)

This dish is so good. I did not change a thing (but next time will cut down on the sugar a little bit). This was an awesome recipe. Thank you!
