Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
Very yum, and easy to prepare. I browned the chicken in the bacon grease, then baked for 30 min - best, moist chicken ever!

Easy Avgolemono Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Like many have said, this isn't authentic Avgolemono. However, for being quick, and having only 5 ingredients that are usually at hand, I liked it. I used a fresh lemon, white jasmine rice, and added garlic and parsley.

Tasty Tuna Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Very delicious!! I only had Panko flakes, so I used those instead of Italian bread crumbs, and they turned out amazing. Freezing for a few minutes definitely helps handling the patties.

Creamy Sage Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Not too bad, and simple to make. Ladled the sauce over rotini pasta, added flour like the previous reader suggested to thicken, and added just a little curry spice and sugar in the raw to complement the subtle sage.

Dill Pickle Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
I first had this soup at a Polish restaurant years ago, and this recipe is right up there with it. So savory and easy to make, and the leftovers are even better.

Tofu Sandwich Spread

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
So happy I found this recipe. I'll never make egg salad again. This is such a simple base with endless possibilities. I used Nasoya Dijonaise to cut down (even more) on the calories with great results. Thank you!

Hazelnut Chicken in Prosciutto-Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
I usually only choose recipes that have been reviewed by a lot of viewers/cooks, but like 'bonniecrocker' I took a chance, and I'm glad I did!! This was very easy to make and very tasty - a great medley of flavors! My first time using prosciutto too. The hazelnuts are a marvelous touch - don't substitute if you can help it! Things I added: 1) Tossed pasta with parsley, olive oil, and tomatoes (over low heat on the stove) before adding sauce 2) Placed chicken in 300 degree oven to keep warm after cooking on stove. I'll definitely double the amount of sauce next time too. Thanks hils!!

Baklava

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Very easy to make, and tastes WAY better than what most stores sell. I ground pistachios with a mortar and pestel for the topping (placed on after baking) and used almonds, hazelnuts, and fancy pecans as filler. Cut the pieces before I baked, and made sure the sugar mixture was cool before topping the baklava right out of the oven. Definitely a keeper!!

Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This was my first attempt making beer cheese soup, and it turned out great! I agree, the texture isn't as rich and creamy as other recipes, but I was still satisfied. I made the mistake of using Labatt Blue (it's what I had on hand), so the beer flavor was almost non-existant. I'll definitely be trying a stout my next time around.
