Made this for a brunch for MOPS and it was very good. Something different than the typical egg casserole. A new staple in my household. Thank you.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
I have had this in my recipe box for about a year now and never made it, until last night. I can't believe I waited so long. As scared as I was that my husband and my four year old wouldn't like the sauce (I put it on the side) they ended up using all of it. They loved it, and my husband was really impressed. I substituted Whiskey for Bourbon, and Olive Oil for Clarified Butter. Improvements for next time: I will pound out the chicken so that they cook more evenly and juicier, I will use the clarified butter, since it doesn't burn as fast in the pan, and I will use a little less Dijon mustard,, just a little. It was quick, easy and elegant. I can't wait to have company over for dinner to make this meal.

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
Made this for dinner tonight to go with Pasta Casserole, found on this site... I made with Italian Sausage, because that is what I had and actually because of the spices in that I added not only the white but a little brown too. I only had diced tomatoes, so I put those in and mashed them and then added a small can of tomato paste to the mixture,, it tasted very good, although a little watery. Now I just have to get the thickness down,, it was VERY GOOD!!!! thanks for sharing.

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
Based off of the suggestion of others, I omitted the baking powder and used one less egg... Made them this evening for my husband who loves brownies. I can never make his mom's recipe right and I think I outdid even her. THIS WAS WONDERFUL!!! My husband had nearly half the pan that is how good they were. They were fudgy and chocolaty.... Everything a brownie should be. Five stars for sure!!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

turned out pretty thick. Tasted good, but not light and fluffy. Don't know if I did something wrong, will make again to see how that batch turns out.

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
I didn't have enough Feta so I used the goat cheese as one suggested and it mixed with the bacon bits and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! I think I will marinate the chicken breasts a little differently next time to intensify the flavor but overall,, WONDERFUL

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
I made this with ground chicken, and it was awesome!!!! a definite keeper. I made it up one night for a light dinner and then kept the leftovers for quick, light lunches through out the week. It sure beat the deli meat sandwich. My husband loved it too. Craved it the evening I made it and wanted to eat the rest, I said no,, because I wanted it for lunches. :) Next time I guess I know to make double.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Made this today for dinner and it was very good. Especially for the quickest prep possible. I did as instructed and added garlic powder and onion powder. YOU HAVE TO TOAST the buns.. that is a key part to taking this from and ok to and great sandwich. I also put them back in the oven after putting the meat and cheese in the bread. I will say that it needed a little something, so next time (and there will definitely be a next time) I will tweak to add more depth to the flavor. Maybe I will use a darker beer next time. Thanks for the recipe.

Loved the roasted veggies in this salad. I didn't have shrimp on hand, so I left it out,, but it still was VERY good. Can't wait to try with the shrimp.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2007
We live in the Chicagoland area and on a our trip to North Carolina to visit family last year my husband and I were in love with sweet tea. I was so excited to find this recipe. He has me making it (double batches) a couple times a week.:) We originally found the recipe for our annual 3rd of July party where we do pulled pork and coleslaw. It was the perfect drink to serve with the meal.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2007
It isn't something I would make for company but I definitely liked it for a quick one dish meal for the family. I mixed the cooked stuffing in with the rest of the ingredients along with some cheddar cheese, topped with cheese and baked. It was very yummy and had enough for leftovers that I actually was craving for the next night. I did the two cans of soup as well, one cream of mushroom and one cream of chicken. Will definitely make again.

Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
It hit the spot. My dad used to make them for me, because my grandma used to make them for him. Now I am passing it down to my little one. Like another reviewer, I use Butt's Beef and it tasted great,, could use a little more seasoning but was very good.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
I have been making PB pie for quite a few years now, this is the recipe I was given by my father. I made this for Mother's Day lunch and did the suggestion of the other reviewer of Nutter Butter cookies and fudge topping at the bottom. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! To die for. I didn't think Peanut Butter Pie could get any better, or any richer. It was wonderful!!! If you are looking for a recipe to impress this is it. Make sure there is cold milk nearby.
