My Best Clam Chowder

Loved this recipe. The only change that I made was I used 1 pint of half and half (fat free) and 2 cups skim milk because that's all I had. It turned out very good but did need a little extra salt and pepper for flavor. Next time I'll try adding bacon as suggested by others.

Beef Noodle Soup

We really enjoyed this recipe. I made a couple changes-I substituted chicken broth for water and added beef boullion for flavor as 1/4 cup was too much sodium for me and my family. I also couldn't find frozen egg noodles- so I cooked them separately and added them to each person's bowl. That way they didn't overcook. Leftovers were great too.

Real Potato Leek Soup

Very bland even with adding the bacon. Basically this is a runny potato soup. If you are going to try this, I would recommend cutting up the potatoes and then cooking to allow proper consistency.

Chicken a la King I

I was really dissappointed with this recipe. It was pretty bland and "starchy" tasting. I didn't add the mushrooms with the juice so maybe that made the difference. If I make this meal again I think that I will add less flour (it was very thick) and perhaps substitute some chicken broth in for some of the water.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

I loved this recipe. I made it as is expect I left out the bacon to be healthier. But next time I think that I will try the bacon to give it a little bit of a salty flavor. Will definitely make this again.

Beef Stroganoff III

I love this recipe. I have made it a few times and made a few changes. I used london broil instead of chuck roast, added 2 cloves of garlic when cooking the onions, used beef consumme instead of beef broth, used red wine instead of white, and added 1/3 cup of cream cheese when sour cream and wine was added. I also served over egg noodles. This recipe is really good as leftovers as well. Thanks for all the help from other reviews.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

I really enjoyed this recipe. I did make some minor changes--I added extra mayo to make it less dry, I used dill pickles that I cut up instead of the sweet relish, and I cut up the potatoes prior to cooking to cut down on the cooking time. I will definitely make this again.

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

This soup was just okay. It wasn't very creamy, it was bland. I made one change as stated in other reviews, I substituted chicken broth for the water and bouillion. I only used whole milk and thought that would make it creamy enough but it didn't. If I happen to try this recipe again I will try it with a portion of half and half not all just whole milk.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

We loved this recipe. We cut the chicken up afterwards and ate it on rolls. We did listen to others advise and didn't cook it for the length of time recommended. It is really easy to overcook.

Chicken Pot Pie IV

We loved this recipe. We used premade Phillsbury pie crusts and added a few different veggies to break up the brocolli. I think the key ingredient was the cheese. Will definitely be making again.

Shepherd's Pie II

Good starting recipe. Kind of bland. After making this recipe a few times I decided to change a few things so people didn't have to use so much ketchup to make it taste better. I added more potatoes, more butter, and a can of beef gravy. It makes it creamier and gives it more flavor.

we really enjoyed this soup. the only thing that I would do differently would be to add pepper to taste instead of 1 tsp because the recommended amount was overwhelming and took over.

I did not like this recipe at all. I was really excited to find such a low calorie recipe and when I tried it I knew why it was low calorie--no taste except the taste of sour cream. I will not be making this again.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

This recipe is very good and easy. I agree with other reviews that the original recipe is fairly bland but it was okay for me because I added BBQ sauce anyway. After I shredded the meat, I drained most of the juice out of the crockpot and added 1 bottle of BBQ sauce and cooked on low for another hour. It was very good.

Mexican Corn Chowder

My family absolutely loved this recipe. I took other people's advice and used 1 can whole corn kernels and 1 can creamed corn. I also used only 1 cup of milk and traded jalapeno peppers in for the green chile peppers. I can't wait to make this again.
