About this Cook
I have a big family so when I cook its a lot of food LOL. I have 3sisters and 2 brothers and my brother is 13 going on 14 so he eats a ton LOL! Plus my parents so in total including me we are 6. Well I love to cook and I love to try new things.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake more than anything but I also like to cook complete meals. I try to make them as healthy as possible lol.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well I have never used this tradtion but after my great grandma died nobody could make portugese bread like her.Well years after my cousin found out all the little things she did. She always wore her cross, her wedding ring but she took off all other jewelry, and she always had her hair pulled back a special way. My cousin did each of those and she made it exactly like my grandma did. How weird is that?!
My cooking triumphs
My peanut butter cookies. My dad asks me to make those cookies atleast 4-5 times a month. Yeah he really really loves those cookies LOL!
My cooking tragedies
I would have to say that the worst thing I made was my spagetti. I dont know why but everytime I make spagetti it always comes out with a weird taste to it. I dont know if its because I put to much spices or if its cause I dont put enough.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel
I LOVE THIS RECIPE!! The topping is awesome! I did a banana apple pie cause I didn't have enough apple. It tasted great! Probably the best pie I ever made. The only thing I did different was the way I cooked the apple mixture. I mixed all the ingredients like it says but instead of putting it in the pie crust and cooking it in the oven I cooked the apples in a pan.Not for very long but enough so that they were a little tender and then I added the streusel part. It turned out awesome and easier for me LOL! This is definetly my thanksgiving/christmas apple pie recipe! Thanks for posting it!

Quick Coffee Cake
I loved this cake!!! This might sound weird but I was in the mood for coffee so I thought coffee cake not thinking it wouldn't actually have coffee in it. Well I decided to make this one but I put 1 1/2 tablespoons of instant coffee. It tasted delicious! I have made it a few times since then and it is always gone with in 15 minutes of when it comes out. My family doesn't even wait for it to cool. They practically eat it straight out of the oven. Awesome recipe!!!
