Excellent - Use the balled foil to keep it out of the grease

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
I needed to make a dessert for tomorrow and decided to make a blueberry pie. I usually use Pillsbury pie crust dough but didn't have any. I used another recipe from this site and it was HORRIBLE. I couldn't get it to stick together at all. I was about to give up when I read a review to try this recipe. I decided to try this before I gave up. I'm so happy I did. This was so easy and worked perfectly on the first try. I will never try another recipe.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
I was pleasantly surprised with these. The flavor was really good. I used 1lbs jumbo raw and the other were small frozen. I marinated seperately and cooked the jumbo's on the grill with skewers. The smaller ones were cooked in a skillet with the marinade sauce. They were delicious and it was great to have the sauce, which went well over rice. I used the same marinade because the shrimp were already cooked and not raw. Otherwise, I would NOT have used the same marinade.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I decided to try this because I didn't have any of the canned sauce, I'm SOOO glad I did. This was 10 times better then the canned stuff. I read through the reviews first and decided to follow the recipe except omitting the water. I didn't want it too runny. THis turned out amazing and I will definately make it again.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
These turned out fantastic. My only problem was the icing only make a small amount. It barely covered my entire batch. I think I will double it next time for more icing. It still tasted great.

Russian Tea Cakes I

My Grandmother used to make these when I was growing up. I have her recipe but her's is not nearly as good as these. This recipe is a lot more moist and I will never go back to the other one.

Chocolate Yule Log

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Turned out amazing for Christmas dinner. Very light and delicious in flavor. I made no changes. My only problem was that it did stick to the towel while I was trying to unroll, but it didn't show when it was iced. I made meringue mushrooms for added effect. There were nonstop comments on the looks and taste.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

I tried this for Christmas dinner and it was delicious. I even made it a few days later for another get together (for the other side of the family) and I heard nothing but wonderful comments and everyone asked for the recipe.

The Best Bean and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
I've never made bean soup before but my husband asked me to make some with the leftover Christmas ham and bone. I followed this recipe pretty close (except the celery b/c I was out) and I only had 4 hours to make and cook, so I took my chances. It turned out fantastic. My husband said this was the absolute BEST soup he's ever had. My southern parents were skeptical since it was different then what they were used to but they were both surprised as well. They kept commenting how wonderful this was.

Sarah's Applesauce

I helped my 9 year old daughter make this yesterday with a bunch of winesap apples we were given. She did everything except chop the apples and she was so excited to say that it turned out "awesome" and "the best I've ever had". Thanks for such an easy and delicious recipe.
