Chantal's New York Cheesecake

When I made this cheesecake, we had unexpected guests pop by that happened to be natives of New York. I was nervous to be serving cheesecake to New Yorkers, but it was all that I had in the fridge at the last minute. They absolutely raved about this cheesecake! I'm not even a big cheesecake fan, myself (I made it for my husband), but I couldn't stop eating it. This recipe is wonderful.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

We thought that this recipe was just okay. The fruit was almost candy sweet, especially when combined with the super-sweet cinnamon chips. It wasn't nearly as refreshing as expected. I would cut down on the sugar next time.

Cocktail Meatballs

Great recipe w/slight modifications: added worchestershire, garlic, salt and pepper to meat mixture for added flavor (what's the point of making home made meatballs if they're bland, right?). To the sauce: added a little mustard which gave a little zing to round out the sweetness. Also added a little BBQ sauce for extra depth in flavor. Would've added some cayenne, but I'm feeding young children.

Coq au Creme

Very good recipe with some adjustments. I Added white wine replacing 1/3 of the broth, added 1/2 tsp. thyme, salt and pepper to taste, and used fresh mushrooms. These gave the recipe a much-needed flavor boost. Also, unless you like your sauce soupy, triple the flour. I served this over pasta, and got rave reviews from my family.
