Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
I love this recipe! It is my go to holiday dessert! I do it slightly different but love the outcome each time. I use 2 store bought deep dish pie crusts, 5 kinds of apples and heap them super tall before dropping the other pie crust on top and sealing them. I cut a few slits in the top to help release steam. As I layer the apples I add sauce to each layer. For the sauce I use 1/4 c white sugar, 3/4 c brown sugar, use a heaping spoon of salted butter, I add quite a bit more flour, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, and 10 caramel candies. It makes the perfect gooey sauce. I get rave reviews every time I make it. Thanks for the awesome recipe!!

Homemade Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
This was an awesome basic recipe. I didn't use flour, added extra water, used dried basil and a couple other spices and simmered it a lot longer so the flavor was better. Added a little parmesan cheese, sour cream, half & half and made it a creamy tomato meat sauce to go over blanched butternut squash instead of noodles for a healthier dish. It was awesome and the hubbs actually liked it...he does NOT like tomato sauces. Did make a small batch of noodles for the kiddo to eat and she devoured it as well. Will definitely make this again. A+ in my book!

Warm Italiano Spread
Mmmm, Mmmm, Good! I make a similar dip with salsa, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese and it's always a huge hit so I knew this one would be amazing! I made some homemade pita chips coated with olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt, ground black pepper, onion/garlic powder, & parmesan cheese to go with ours and it was delish! For those of you who are having trouble with the amount of pesto versus the amount of cream cheese, I have a solution for you. The dip that I make that is similar to this I let my cream cheese soften, then I take a round baking dish lined with foil, put the block in the middle, and spread it around the pan by smashing it with a rubber spatula. Spread your topping on and cover with the cheese and each bite has the same amount of cream cheese and topping. Hope this helps!! :)
