About this Cook
I am a 30 yo stay at home mama to 4 great kiddos! I'm a pretty "crunchy" chic that looooooves super yummy, healthy cookin' LOL! I live for what I love- my family. I also really enjoy connecting with other kynd folks!
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy cooking anything that includes tofu. Stir fry is a slight obssesion as it can be done in so many different tasty ways. I also love to come up with healthy meals that are practical for the whole family. I am a Weight Watcher so I like to find things that I can use to continue my weight loss efforts while satisfying my family's taste buds and NOT sacrificing our health with as well!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Friday Challa! I love to make home made challa bread with my children for the Shabbat.

Fish Tacos
Oh wow!Funny these are the recipe of the day today! I actually made this recipe for my family 2 weeks ago... Amazingly delish. It was absolutely incredible. I have a large family (1 hubby,5 kids and 2 adult cousins that eat here 5+ days a week) so I doubled up. We even had it cold the next day and it was great! I think next time I'll use just a bit less cayenne in the sauce and add more capers. The capers really make the sauce. We also used whole wheat wraps. Hurry up... Make a list, go shopping and feed this to a hungry bunch! You'll be the star if tour kitchen tonight. Thanks for sharing this yummy authentic gem of a recipe.

Lentil and Green Collard Soup
Absolutely delicious!! Very her good dinner soup for the family. I doubled the liquid and added more spice to compensate for the extra water simply due to my large family. Cheap, yummy and a huge hit! Served it with a nice whole wheat crusty ciabatta bread hot from the oven. This will be a family fave for sure.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
Excellent!! I made this for company and it got rave reviews. I did add a spash of worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powder... I also used Guiness in the can because it tends to be thick. DELICIOUS. I served french rolls as well as onion ciabatta rolls toasted with mozzerella slices. Would definately make this many more times!!
