About this Cook
I love to cook, it's my favorite thing to do. When I'm in the kitchen I fire up my iPod, have a glass of wine (or two), and I'm in heaven!
My favorite things to cook
Soups, breads and casseroles. Also, white chocolate cheesecake - yeah, baby!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I try to cook entirely vegetarian, and use only organic products when I can.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking vegetarian dinners for non-vegetarian guests, and having them love it.
My cooking tragedies
I once made a cheesecake and tried to serve it without refrigerating it long enough. As I cut the cake it oozed everywhere like cream of wheat. It was very embarrassing.

Russian Black Bread
This bread is excellent, very hearty and thick. I followed the instructions other than using black molasses for the corn syrup and cut the cocoa back to 2 tbsp. Mixed it in my KitchenAid, then baked in the oven. I did notice this bread takes a lot longer to rise. Not sure why. 5 stars and highly recommended!

EAGLE BRAND(R) Peanut Butter Fudge
Candy recipes always intimidated me with the candy thermometer and all, but this recipe is so simple you can't screw it up. I followed the recipe to a tee and it came out perfect! Don't bypass the chopped peanuts by using crunchy peanut butter, it's not the same. Not for the calorie conscious! 5 stars and highly recommended

Blueberry Sauce
Followed the recipe to a tee other than leaving out the almond extract (don't care for the taste). This has become my standard topping for white chocolate cheesecake. As others have noted it needs to set a couple of hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld. 5 stars and highly recommended!!
