Amazing Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
Really good! Used sour cream instead of mayo cause that's what I had. I doubled the topping. If you want a complete crust over the top, double the topping. I would have been fine with it as written. I also used shredded Parmesan, not the powered shaker cheese. And I cooked the onions first. My two and three year old toddlers ate it and asked for more. So, five stars from us!!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Easy and very yummy. I've made two batches in thess than 24 hours b/c the first batch literally vanished. A kinda obvious tip (but one that didn't occur to me until my hubby pointed it out): don't let your thermometer rest on the bottom of the pan.

Best Friend Doggie Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Super quick and easy! Dogs (a pit bull and a Great Dane) are ga-ga for them. I ADDED a tablespoon of peanut butter and had to add about 2 tablespoons extra water to get the dough to form. Will keep making these!!

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Great recipe. Even better w/ some of the mentioned modifications. I also recommend the orange zest. I did the zest of 1 med orange. It was a generous Tablespoon. Also recommend increasing the cranberries. I did a full cup.

Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
My husband went nuts over these bars! I followed the recipe exactly the first time and he and a friend went through the entire pan in a day and a half. I agree with other reviews that the peanut butter flavor could have been stronger, but when I made them a second time, I used MILK chocolate instead of semi-sweet and it really made a difference. These are a new staple around our house!!
