Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
Sorry, but I did not care for this recipe at all. Everything was overcooked and had a strangely weak briny taste. Recipe calls for too much liquid, too little seasoning, and way too long cooking time. Instructions that came with the meat said to simmer at 50 minutes for each pound; for me that would have been 4 hours. At simmering. Your recipe calls for 8 hours on high. Wish I would have taken the time to note all this ahead of time. Very disappointing.

Perfect. Baked this filling inside "Cream Cheese Tart Shells" on this site. A definite keeper.

Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Actually, I have to revise my first review. I could live with the lumps, but there were a ton of them (despite the fact that I added the flour gradually, which almost never works, I should know by now), and the gravy tasted like flour and nothing else. Had to throw this out.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
Sorry this didn't work out for the reviewer just before me; you really need to follow this recipe to a tee in order for it to be its fabulous self. You just HAVE to use jalapenos and parmesan, no doubt about it. I made this for my husband's 50th birthday party last weekend and got raves raves raves. This week I sent the link to partygoers who insisted on having the recipe, and one I know is making it for her book group this weekend. This is a perfect recipe and a definite keeper. Thank you, Denise!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
Thank you so very much for this recipe. I too made a lighter, less-salt version with cream of mushroom soup. Spectacular tasting! The true testament to your recipe is that it easily allowed me to alter to taste, and still yielded a wonderful dish. To me one of the secret ingredients is the scallion, which imparts such a singular flavor to every dish it's in. This recipe is a keeper. Can't wait until my husband gets home from class tonight so he can have some.

Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
My husband and I just ate these for our Christmas breakfast, while listening to Lou Reed, Van Halen, and Back Sabbath CDs we just unwrapped. Thanks for your part in helping us celebrate a holiday unlike the same ole same ole. We love this recipe, wouldn't change a thing, will make it again and again. Take care.

Apple-Cinnamon Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
Made this for my family over the holidays. Corner store did not have French bread so I made do with doughy Pepperidge Farm Italian and it still turned out great; everyone loved it. Thanks for submitting this; it is now a permanent part of my recipe box.
