Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
This reminds me a bit of the San Francisco dish called "Joe's Special". It contains crumbled, browned beef, sauteed onions and mushrooms, spinach (frozen - thawed and squeezed) and eggs. Delicious!

Baked Penne with Double Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2004
I don't know what's up with the previous reviewer, but we loved this. I did use homemade, unsalted beef stock; perhaps that made a difference. This is intensely "mushroomy," so if you're not a fan, don't make.

Basic Yankee Bread Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2002
With a few variations, this has been my family's stuffing recipe for three generations. We use a stick of butter and six onions, slowly sauteeing the celery and onions until very soft. Add eight cups of cubed bread that you've left sit out overnight. Moisten with turkey broth. The stuffing should be a bit on the "mushy" side, but not too much.

Hamburger Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2002
My mother always made this with spicy bulk pork breakfast sausage (drain off some of the fat before adding flour). This should be a good fix for those of you who found the taste too bland.

Chocolate/Peanut Butter Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2001
Awsome cookies! However, this recipie only made 3 dozen cookies (as opposed to 4 dozen like it said.) My suggestion also, is to make extra penut butter batter and do half chocolate/ half penut butter instead of about 3/4 chocolate and 1/4 peniut butter, then it would mabye make 4 dozen.

Spicy Spinach

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2001
There is surely a mistake in this recipe: use 3 boxes of spinach and it's great, but only if you like things hot! I just nuked it for a couple of minutes and it came out fine.
