Apple Turnovers

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
WOW. My family thinks this is the best thing since ...well...EVER! I have extra filling after making them and put about 1/4 C in a 1/2 cup of Krusteaz Pancake Mix then add water to get the pancake batter consistency. Fry just like pancakes except turn the burner down a bit. And Voila! Apple Fritter Pancakes! YUMMY Surprise this morning. Thanks

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
Great recipe. WARNING: To those that don't like too much sweet! DON'T double the topping part as some recommend. Ick. Too overpowering for the apples. I followed recipe exactly except I omitted the water and it was plenty juicy and the topping was perfect (not to little, not too much)

Turkey Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
I make this with the mayo/yogurt combo and LOVE it. I use Nancy's Organic Plain Honey Yogurt. YUM!!! It gives it a "fresh" taste. For vegitarians, just substitute Turkey for veggies: Bell Pepper, broccoli, peas...Its really pretty with orange/red/green bell peppers

LOVE THESE. For the SUPER-FAST version...just pat the whole ball of dough to about 1/2 inches thick and slice like a pizza before baking.

Haystacks

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
I've eaten this meal since I was little. Its an "old standard" at church potlucks in my denomination. Instead of kidney beans, we use refried beans smoothed down with a little water or chili. It is basically taco fillings on chips. Our favorite chips are Fritos smashed up a little. However you like your tacos, just flattened out. In fact, growing up we called them "Plate Tacos".

Seminary Muffins

Oh my word!!!! These are AWESOME!!!! Now the true test: My finicky kids. Drum roll please....they actually like them!!!! My 9-year-old gave them a 9! THANK YOU!!!! I added a little flax meal too. And I think next time I might decrease the sugar just a bit...the chocolate chips are really sweet. I used "Private Selection" brand semi-sweets, which I think are my new favorite chip! They are a little bigger than the usual ones.

Sometimes simpler is better. Great recipe to substitute anything you have, on hand, for the filling. Used Strawberry jam, today. Will try the cranberry filling, next time :)

My family LOVES these! Made them per recipe first time, minus one egg. Then added some (1/4tsp dried) basil and a couple shakes of garlic powder the second time. WOW, YUM!

Vegetarian Cottage Cheese Patties

Awe. These bring back memories. I grew up on them, although I don't think onion soup mix was included, just some simple herbs and salt. Easy recipe to throw together anytime. I like them both ways, plain and baked w/mushroom soup on top.

Wheat Crackers

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
I made this for sentimental reasons. My Grandmother used to make the communion bread for church services a few times a year and when she died it was just never the same. I have her recipe somewhere and I think its something like this. But didn't feel like digging it out. Thanks for the quick easy find and it brings back lots of memories of tiny juice cups and broken bread on silver plates passed from pew to pew. I remember always trying to spy the BIG piece on the plate w/o looking too greedy. :)

"Wow's" from the whole bunch of my boys, including Dad. I only added a little pineapple because I was short on ripe bananas and used 1 C of Sugar and used 1/4 c butter and 1/4 c coconut oil. LOVE the pineapple addition...The hubs requested for his birthday, in Dec, immediately. THANK YOU!!!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
Wooo Hooooo! Found this recipe and it's a winner! I LOVE Rice crispies in granola bars and now I can say I've found a replacement for the ones at the store! I couldn't help myself, though. As I was bring the sauce to a boil I threw in some marshmellows. The rice crispies would have been lonely without them!!!
