Pineapple Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
I just made this and cannot wait to eat it after it has refrigerated overnight. I am serving this for a Luau party and shaped it into a pineapple shape (laying on it's side). When I'm ready to serve, I'll add the pecans and cut the top of a pineapple off and put it onto the "top" of the cheeseball.

Monster Cookies V

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
I don't know if it was something that I did, but these cookies spread so much that I couldn't get them off of the cookie sheet. I tried baking them longer but they turned out like pancakes. But, I have to say the cooked edges of the cookie were delicious. I finally added about 1 1/2 cups of flour to the remaining dough and the last half turned out much more edible. I will make this recipe again, but next time I'll add some flour.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
I've now made this recipe twice. The only thing I didn't follow exactly, was I used margarine instead of butter. These cookies are moist and chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside. I love the texture that the ground up oatmeal gives these cookies. This is by far my favorite chocolate chip cookie.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
MMMMMMMMMMM!!!! Can't wait for lunch tomorrow. I marinaded the chicken and veggies in separate ziploc bags for about 3 hours. This recipe is so delicious. Don't change a thing. Next time, I'm going to try putting some pineapple with the veggies.

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Quick, tasty, and super easy recipe. I had everything on hand other than the frozen veggies. I added some cabbage, carrots, canned green beans, and some leftover asparagus. This was so good and the kids wolfed it down. Will keep this recipe on hand. THANKS

Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
MMMMMMMMMMMM!!! I put a little green food coloring in the batter for St. Patty's day. For the frosting, instead of butter, I used cream cheese and a touch of vanilla. These are yummy!! UPDATE. Made these again and doubled the batch. They weren't quite as moist as the first time, but still pretty tasty.

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Simply the best cookies I've ever had. They taste just like an oreo, only BETTER. YUMMY. My 5 year old son also loved to help me roll the cookies into balls and spread the frosting. It was a great recipe for the kids.

Cordon Bleu Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I roasted a turkey last night, and because I didn't gauge the time correctly, we ended up having something else for dinner. Needless to say, we had lots of leftover turkey to use up today. I found this recipe and tried it. I have an 8, 5, and 2 year old and they ordinarily can be quite picky when it comes to casserole type dishes. They all three gobbled this up without any complaints. My husband and I also enjoyed it very much. The sauce was delicious, the crust on top was crispy and light. It was very good. I'm thinking of making another to freeze for later.

Carrot Cupcakes with White Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
Delicious recipe. I followed the cupcakes and the icing recipes exactly and they were so good. One note, this yielded 18 not 12 cupcakes and the icing had a LOT left over. I made this for the adults after trick or treating while the kids dug into the candy. I can't wait to have another one for breakfast. Good recipe.

Caramel Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
I just made this for my daughter's Halloween Party at school tomorrow. It is so delicious. I originally doubled the recipe and made another type of fruit dip to take also. I quickly changed my mind and quadrupled this recipe. We are going to serve it with apple slices. The kids are going to LOVE it. THANKS!!!!

Salsa Ninety Nine (Mild)

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
This is the THIRD year that I've made this recipe from fresh garden tomatoes. The only substitute that I make is that I add 1/2 cup lime juice and 1/2 cup vinegar. No sugar, our tomatoes are sweet enough. ####Perfect replica of my favorite mexican restaurant's salsa. I only wish I could figure out what kind of chips they use. YUMMMY. This makes a ton so be prepared to give to friends. Of course, it is hard to hand over that perfect yummy jar. I have a hard time sharing. : )

Asparagus Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
Great recipe. Will make again and again. We LOVE asparagus at our house, so this was a winner. Next time, I'll use more ham. We used what we had left over from Easter. I also used fresh asparagus cut into 1 inch pieces. I blanched them for a minute, just to take the crunch out. It was perfect.

Old-Fashioned Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
Great recipe. I doubled the recipe for a crowd. I also boiled the potato slices with a couple of cloves of garlic prior to adding to the baking dish. I had to make this ahead and didn't know if I'd have enough time to "cook" the potatoes. Boiling to just before tender was perfect. The hour of baking then made it warm and bubbly. I didn't have processed American, so I subbed 1/2 cheddar and 1/2 mozzarella. This was so wonderful that I've been asked to bring it to Easter dinner also. Thanks Martha Sue

I made this for my husband, because we both LOVE artichokes. We ate it for two nights in a row for dinner. Then, we had an impromptu birthday dinner for my brother and his wife. So, we served it for night #3. It was so delicious and I will make this time and time again. It was perfect.

Chocolate Oatmeal Drop Cookies

I am not much of a baker...I HATE measuring. I loved that this recipe required very little measuring. They tasted a lot like no bake cookies. I have made these several times and always get rave reviews.
