Slow Cooker Posole with Pork and Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
I made this last night and it turned out fabulous. I ended up doubling the recipe because of the size pork roast I had. I followed the recipe exactly with only one exception. Toward the end of cooking I added one large can of green enchilada sauce, medium heat. I divided the batch and took half to my Mom and Stepfather, along with some cornbread, and they loved it! Thanks for the great recipe. I will be making this again!!

Pumpkin French Toast Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
This is fabulous! The flavor is very good, and it is not overly sweet. And it isn't mushy. This reminds me more of bread pudding which I love. The only substitution I made was the bread, as I did not have Texas toast. Instead I used cinnamon raisin bagel thins, which seems like an odd substitution, but it tastes great!! Defintitely will make this again!

Apple Raisin Cakes

I made these today for my Stepfather who is diabetic. I was impressed with the flavor and how easy they are to make! I will definitely make these again.

Alfredo Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
These were really good. I thought I had alfredo sauce but it turned out to be parmesan basil; but I am giving this a five star rating anyway. I've made stuffed potatoes before and they did not turn out nearly as good as these did. Good recipe!

Sweet Potatoes with Pecans and Sausage

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This was really good. I like sweet potatoes with brown sugar, butter and cinnamon, but was looking for something a little different for Thanksgiving dinner today. The sausage was awesome. I used links and cut them into small pieces after cooking. My only mistake was overcooking the sweet potatoes. It turned out to be more like a casserole than sweet potato chunks, but the taste was just as awesome. Thanks for the recipe!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
O.K. There are so many reviews that you don't need my input, but I just have to comment on how wonderful these rolls are. I love yeast rolls but seldom plan well to start early enough to have them ready in time for dinner. These are absolutely awesome. My husband ate two and wanted a third. I will make these again and again. Thanks!

Thai Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Oh no, this one did not work for me. I followed the instructions exactly with the exception of leaving the chicken in the marinade longer than instructed. There was no flavor to the chicken at all. I will not make this again.

Garlic Cheese Flatbread

This is awesome! I made this for my Son who loves garlic. My Husband isn't crazy about a lot of garlic, but all three of us could not stop eating it. Very good!!

Premier White Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
I made these exactly according to the recipe and did not like them at all. They were more cake like, which was o.k., but extremely dry and no taste whatsoever. I will not try these again. Ended up throwing the entire pan out.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
This was very good. I never would have thought to make chicken and dumplings in the crock pot but this was better than any I've ever made. I made a few changes only because of the ingredients I had on hand, and we like dishes seasoned. Used only one can of chicken soup, and one container of turkey gravy. Added chicken broth in small amounts as needed. I put the chicken breasts in frozen, added celery and carrots and two cloves garlic. Also added cumin and sage. I used one can of buscuits, cut them in pieces and lightly dusted them with poultry seasoning. Really good. My Husband really liked it!

Spicy Crispy Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This dish is awesome! My first thought was that it was too much work and time to prepare, but then I tasted it, and it's worth the time! A lot of the prep can be done beforehand so the next time I make it I will plan accordingly. Definitely a great recipe with great flavor!

Garlic Teriyaki Edamame

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
I thought this was very good and was close to the edamame served at one of my favorite Sushi restaurants. I don't know that I will make changes the next time I fix it - and I WILL be making it again!!

Pineapple Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
This was really good. I ended up doubling the topping recipe, so there was more pineapple. And I did use cornstarch instead of flour in the topping. Had a girls get together and everyone loved it.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
O.K., with this many ratings no one will probably ever read this one. But just have to say, this recipe was great! We have an ongoing competition in our house to see who can make the best meatloaf. My husband was having a hard time conceding last night even after I found him eating this for a 'midnight snack'. Made the recipe exactly as is, no variations and it is awesome!!

Parmesan Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This was disappointing. I expected a potato soup, instead it was a thickened seasoned gravy with very few potatoes, despite the fact that I increased the amount of potatoes and significantly decreased the amount of milk. It was not good at all. I usually try to salvage recipes, but this was a waste of ingredients.

Tangy Catalina Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
Sorry, but this was a disappointment. I was excited when reading the ingredients because I love shrimp and Catalina dressing. Thought it would be a great combination. But I made the salad according to the recipe and it could not have been more bland. I won't even try to adjust the ingredients like many of the other reviewers did.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

This is truly an awesome banana bread recipe! My entire family loves this bread. The only change I made was replacing one cup of white sugar with brown sugar. Otherwise, made the recipe as is!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
This is really good. Giving it five stars despite the changes I made as the ingredients are the same, just the amounts are different. I only added two cans of chicken broth. When I melted the cheese after the broccoli was cooked, it was the consistency I wanted, so I only added 1/2 cup milk, and no water or cornstarch. Made it a little richer, but the flavor is excellent!
