Steak Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
Not bad, but not good. I would definitely use another type of meat. I love a good country fried steak dish, but this didn't cut it for me. I found a really good country fried steak recipe on this site that i would definitely recommend. It was called Chicken Fried Steak (it was great).

Joe's Favorite Hamburgers

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
I thought these were really good. Very flavorful and not at all dry. Before cooking it appears as though the burgers would fall apart on the grill, but they held up fine. Everyone loved them. I definitely recommend trying these!

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
Peanut butter flavored sugar. sugar sugar and more sugar. sugar lovers thought this was great. i'm not a big sugar fan, but those with a sweet tooth said this was really good. (emphasis on really and one of them always makes candy and fudge)

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
Pretty good. I love cream sauces, so anything with cream in it is a hit with me. I had my parents over and they enjoyed this meal. If you liked this, I tried another that was easier, quicker, and a little tastier: Cajun Chicken Pasta.

Easy Chicken Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
This was quick and easy and not bad tasting, just too simple and bland. Nice to try, but I won't be making again.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
I didn't like this too much. When I think of broccoli casserole, I assume it will have a cheese flavor to it. This had way too much mayonaise for me and i love mayonaise. Everyone said it was pretty good, but I won't make it again. It did look nice.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
Pretty good. My first homemade apple pie. I used Baker's Secret pie crust which made it different than a traditional apple pie (it has cake four in it). Very simple pie and tastes great. Everyone loved it. My sister keeps ranting and raving about my homemade apple pie. Had to give this a 5.

Baker's Secret Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
Different than your normal pie crust. Not bad, you can definitely taste the cake flour in this. I made this with Grandma Ople's Apple Pie and everyone thought it was great! My sister rants and raves about this. Everyone looks forward to me making my homemade pies.

Angel Biscuits II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2001
These were pretty easy to make. My kid loves biscuits and thought it was cool he could make his own. My mom loves angel biscuits and thought this recipe was great! I thought it was pretty good. Definitely worth the little effort they take to make and makes a large quantity for pennies!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2001
I didn't try this my self because I do not really like pork. I made it for my husband because it sounded good. It was surprisingly easy to make and was very quick! It looked very appetizing; I served it with asparagus. I served my husband and brother-in-law and they said it was pretty good. My brother-in-law said it would have been good with mashed potatoes.

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2001
I wasted my chocolate chips on this recipe. My sister is laughing at me right now because of these "award winning" cookies. They were cakey and not sweet enough. The cookie dough looked really good, then i had them dropped by Tablespoonfuls on the cookie sheet and baked them. I opened the oven door and expected to see cookies. Instead I saw the spoon-shaped dough I put in the oven. Yes my oven was on and I followed this recipe exactly and I bake all the time. I am not sure where these rave reviews came from.

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Pretty good. I was able to convince a couple of real picky eaters to have some and they asked for seconds! I will make this again.

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2001
Wow, I made real chinese food! My husband liked this more than me. I will make it again - all was great except the ginger was too strong. Next time I will try ground ginger or omit it all together. Other than that it was great. My husband loved the ginger.

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2001
Pretty good. Suprprisingly kid-friendly, even though it has a little "bite"! Its another style of chili, served over pasta with cheddar cheese. My husband isnt a big chili eater so didnt enjoy this much but the kids and I indulged. Served with Corn fritters! I liked this.

Coney Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2001
This was pretty good. A little salty and a little dry. Tastes like a mild flavorful chili sauce. I will make again as a topper for hot dogs. Definitely better than canned chili sauce for hot dogs. I served to my family on hot dogs with Tasty Buns and everybody thouroughly enjoyed. Served with homemade french fries and all made for a good hearty casual weekend meal.

Tasty Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2001
This was a great quick bread recipe! The dough rises so fast! They taste pretty good too! I used these 2 days (making a total of 3 batches) of the labor day weekend when I had my family over. We had italian beef sandwiches one night and hot dogs with Coney Sauce the next. Made wheat ones using half whole wheat and half all-purpose flour - they were great. Lots of compliments. Gave it a 4. I bought extra ingredients to quickly make my own rolls instead of buying bread at the store.

This was pretty good. I had my family over for labor day and made a feast, this was part of it and everyone loved it. I made Tasty Rolls and had this shredded beef on it with provolone cheese, lettuce, and creamy italian salad dressing. It was good! Served with lots of other great stuff!

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2001
These were pretty good - the gooieness makes it great! I don't know if I would call them cinnamon rolls though - cinnamon roll concoction might be a good name. I will definitely make these again. The gooieness is addicting and they were very easy to make. My kid loved them.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2001
This was excellent! Great flavor! Almost like Chili's penne pasta dish. Make this if you like cream sauces, such as alfredo. Very easy to make and pretty quick too. I couldn't find anything labeled "cajun" seasoning so I used Emerill's Southwest seasoning. You will miss out on a great dish if you don't try this!
