These have been part of my Christmas cookie tray for the last several years. They are so pretty, and are a nice break from all the really sweet stuff.

Garlic and Tomato Tilapia

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
I made this last night and it was FABULOUS! I took advice from some of the other people and added some fresh basil and parmesan cheese. We have an abundance of tomatoes from our garden and this was a great way to use them. I doubled the sauce and served the fish and sauce over some whole wheat pasta. YUM!

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I've had this huge zucchini from our garden just waiting to be used. I tried this last night and it was SO good. I added a little extra garlic, about 1/4 C. parmesan and a few red pepper flakes. I will definitely make this again!

Kiki's Borracho (Drunken) Beans

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
I am making these today (Memorial Day) for probably the 4th time. I absolutely LOVE these beans. After soaking the beans overnight, I throw everything into the crockpot and wait for the house to fill with that wonderful aroma. They are a nice change from the sweet baked beans that I often make with BBQ. They go great with every kind of meat - today they'll be accompanying my grilled baby back ribs. YUM! Thanks for such a great recipe Kiki!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
This was SO good. My husband was in heaven! They really reminded me of my grandmother's dumplings - but without all the work! They were even better re-heated the 2nd day.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
Oh my gosh this is so good!! I needed to bring a meal for a ladies weekend retreat and thought this sounded like some they they would all like. I put it in the crockpot last night and woke up to a wonderful smelling house. It was so moist and pulled apart so easily. I tasted it before adding the BBQ (used Sweet Baby Rays) sauce and you couldn't even taste the root beer at all. I used a pork butt for this and just removed the fat before shredding the meat. Very economical and makes a lot!!! I'm serving it with slider buns.

Sweet Italian Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
This is OUTSTANDING!! I steamed fresh green beans as I had them in the fridge, then prepared per recipe. I did cut the brown sugar to 2 T. and it was just the right amount of sweetness.

Slayer's Sweet, Tangy, and Spicy Kabobs

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
I absolutely LOVED this. I did not use the cherries or cherry juice, that was my only change. I marinated the chicken for 24 hours, then brushed the marinade on the k-bobs several times while I was grilling. Definitely a keeper!!!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
I've been making this for many years and it is SOOO good. Instead of water I use 1 can of cola (can use diet). It makes for the mos tender meat and fantastic gravy!!! I put baby carrots, onions and potato chunks in the pot as well. YUMMMMMMMMM.
