Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
This was very good. Using the full amount of butter was way too greasy for me. The second time, I used maybe 1/2 T. butter and some olive oil, and it was much better.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This turned out great! I added some salt/pepper in the cavity, as well as part of an onion and lemon. I added garlic powder to the spices too. It turned out great and took around 3 hours.

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
I had only had one bite of rhubarb in my life before I made this pie. It was great! I omitted (forgot?) the butter on top of the fruit, and it was fine.

Great! This was my first time to make scalloped potatoes, and they went over well. I grated parmesan over each layer.

Kale, Quinoa, and Avocado Salad with Lemon Dijon Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
This was great - perfect for my husband. I personally don't like mustard, so I'd like to find a way to make the mustard flavor less intense. I used a cup of quinoa and more pepper and avocado. It fed four adults including seconds.

This was great! I used 1/2 white and 1/2 wheat flour and replaced the shortening with butter. I prepared the topping with a pastry blender, and it was a hit.

I use the stems and sautee them for a couple of minutes first and use about 1/2 the balsamic. It's great!
