Portuguese Sweet Bread I

I flavored this with orange extract, raisins, and cardamom. Delicious. It does raise a lot, so the top was a bit undercooked, but that's what toasters are for.

Bread Machine Swedish Coffee Bread

I followed the recipe, including the 3 tsp of cardamom, and I am loving the result. I have no idea whether this is authentic, but it is delicious, and this is good enough for me. I used brown sugar and milk on top.

Best Bread Machine Bread

I made this the first time following the recipe exactly, and adding an additional 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tbsp of rosemary and some ground black pepper. I use olive oil in place of generic vegetable oil. The loaf came up light and delicious, as promised. I am making it again tonight. This will be my go-to recipe from now on. Proofing the yeast really makes a difference.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

This is a great idea-using a cast iron skillett and cake mix. Looks fantastic and tastes as good as anything you can get in a bakery. I cut the sugar by 1/3 and the butter by half. I also used apple sauce in the cake mix instead of oil, and added pineapple juice. Used pineapple chunks and added dried apples and cranberries; then made a caramel sauce with butter and sugar, adding the fruit. It's still plenty sweet and buttery.

This is the best bread I made since I got the bread machine. I made this a 2-pound loaf and it's fantastic: great flavor, great crumb. I'd eat the whole loaf myself...

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread II

Loved the flavor and texture-but like other reviewers I had a "raising" problem. I will try a whole-wheat and white flour mix, and I will also try to convert it to a 2-pound recipe. however, try it: looks aren't everything, and this bread gets even better the next day.
