Tiny Chicken Turnovers

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
wonderful recipe! i made about 200 of these for my daughters buffet wedding and they were a hit. premade and frozen, it was so simple to just warm them up in the oven and serve. thankyou for a brilliant recipe.

Microwave Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
i dont review recipes very much unless i feel very negative or positive towards them. this was SUPERB! i didnt give 5star because the chocolate sauce was too watery in my opinion and quite honestly i dont think it was necessary. this cake is brilliant on its own and is one of the rare microwave cakes that dont dry out very quickly - 3days after i made it, i left a portion to see the result and it was STILL moist and tasty! what more can you ask for?

ohhh, the memories this brings! while i no longer live in australia, i spent my childhood there and no birthday party was complete without bread and butter sprinkled with "hundreds and thousands"!thanks for reminding me .......

Argentine Lentil Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
im not giving 5stars simply because i modified the recipe slightly for my taste. i used half the apple and added a small diced potato instead of the whole apple plus i fried the onion and garlic and potato before adding the lentils, water and cube. this stew was absolutely terrific! no it wasnt watery like a soup. i just cooked it a little longer until i got the consistency i wanted - about 10mins extra. served it with fresh crusty bread and my family loved every bit of it!

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
made this recipe exactly as written and as a chocolate pudding it is excellent! trouble is, i wanted it as a chocolate pie filling and found it too runny for that even when i chilled it for 24hours. wonder how the others managed to get it to firm up?

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
i used only one egg and 1 3/4cups of sugar but besides that, i followed the recipe exactly as written and it was excellent. like a chocolate sponge cake. will make again.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
this was excellent! i didnt give it 5stars simply because i modified it very slightly by leaving out the heavy cream and making my own bechamel(white)sauce using milk, butter and cornstarch. this was a quick and easy vegetarian meal for my family and will make very often.

No Bake Cookies II

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
i very rarely post a negative review but im sorry to say that although i followed this recipe exactly, it turned into a gooey, yucky, mess! so many sent in good reviews so maybe i did something wrong(cant imagine what). sorry but everything had to go into the trash - we couldnt even pick them up - they were like glue!

Zucchini Chocolate Orange Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
this is an excellent way to use up extra zucchinis. i only had 2eggs available, used o.j. instead of milk and substituted half a cup of plain yogurt, using only 1/4cup of butter. next time i will add more orange zest(just a personal preference). a very, very, good cake.

Tomato Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
this recipe was quite good BUT its very greasy. i made it as written first and the oily residue on the bottom of the dish was incredible! ive just made it a second time with modifications and it is now an excelllent dish. i cant give it 5stars as it is written but with modifications(all a question of taste, of course) it is excellent! my changes were: i fried they onions in the butter as stated, left out the cheddar COMPLETELY, then mixed the herbs with the onions. i then layered as stated omitting the cheese and mixed the parmesan with the breadcrumbs according to the recipe to sprinkle on top. the second time i didnt have fresh tomatoes so i just opened a can of tomatoes and mixed the onion and herbs with that to layer with the zucchini. BOTH WAYS WERE EXCELLENT!
