About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new things in the crock pot. It is one of my favorite kitchen tools!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Prime rib...my dad always cooks prime rib during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I cook something that my husband raves about is a cooking triumph! I have a lot of competition, since his mom and grandma are excellent cooks!
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married I tried to make this stuffed crust spinach pizza. It was horrible!! My husband still teases me about it.

Turkey Tetrazzini II
Pretty tasty. Though in my opinion the sauce could use more flavor. Maybe an herb, or garlic. Something. Next time I will salt and pepper more to taste, as I followed the recipe exactly. makes a TON of food. I also added a whole bag of frozen peas. But really you could add frozen corn, carrots. etc. Very kid friendly though.

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans
These were delicious! I followed the recipe exactly, except I added a chunk of salt pork to the beans while they were cooking. I cooked it all in the slow cooker on high for 6....and they were great! Even better the next day after cooking for another 4. Would do these again.....exactly the same.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies
These were pretty good. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars, is because I think the salt could easily be dropped to only 1/2 teaspoon. Other than that, they were nice and chewie. I added 1/2 cup of choco chips. These went over great with my kids!
