About this Cook
I am a sports fan and have a sports fanatic family! We love to get together either on Saturday(college)or Sunday's(Pro) to watch football. In the summer we are very active outside involved with all sports. I have a beautiful daughter who loves to try anything I prepare for us. I was also a military brat so we have lived in many different states and have been exposed to a variety of cultures. I like to say I am a bit well rounded :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook chili. It is very easy and is so darn good. I like to keep it easy that way I can't screw too much up.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family's cooking tradition is homemade is the best way. I try to simplify alot more than my mom would want but I have a busy schedule and don't have time to fiddle with the homemade food preparing like she does.
My cooking triumphs
Like me everyone seems to have their own style of preparing chili and think their recipe is the best. So far I have yet to have someone hate my chili unless my family and friends are dishonest in saying different.
My cooking tragedies
I have had so many I should give up. Kidding, I am trying. Potato soup is the latest. Meatloaf, ravioli and even a potato salad...- I know it was an easy recipe or so I thought it sounded good when I read it the first time. It turned out awful.

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole
Very good! Family loved it. I added three more eggs to the recipe as others suggested. I precooked the 1 lb. of shredded potatoes in a skillet with oil and butter and then put the potatoes in the oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. I then layered the egg mixture, cheese and sausage. My family likes spicy foods so they added salsa on the side.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips
It was okay. The cinnamon chips went stale really quick. Don't believe I will make this again considering the effort put into the recipe.
