Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
These came out tough and flavorless. I followed the directions exactly and wondered what else I could do to make them better. I have a tortilla press so I was able to get them rolled and cooked fine. Other recipes I've looked at use a lot more butter or lard. I think I'll have to go that route to make them tastier.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2013
This peach cobbler was good. It's a simpler recipe that I've used before so that was a plus. I didn't read the directions and used unpeeled peaches. It's fine that way to me. Next time I'll not put the cinnamon sugar on top. It was not necessary and made the top kind of crunchy. Also, I only had to bake it for about 15 minutes after I put the topping on for it to be quite golden. I almost burned it.

Campbell's® Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
We use cut up chicken instead of tuna and whatever cream soups we have on hand. But we really like this in our house. My kids gobble it up. I add 2T of Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumbs and it adds some nice flavor.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
These were okay. I followed a reviewer's tip and used buttermilk instead of butter. Next time I think I'll try the butter. Very crispy but the flavor was a little bland. They were good dipped in BBQ sauce.

Cheeseburger Buns

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
LOVED THEM!! I think I'll add even more beef next time. But these were so good and my whole family loved them. They didn't take much time to make either. Definitely made it into the rotation.

Breaded Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
These taste like baked mozzarella sticks! I made these last minute and had to thaw the ravioli in some hot water. The egg wash makes them bake crispy. My kids and husband LOVED them. These would be a fun party favor with some marinara for dipping sauce. My husband already asked for me to make them again.

1-Dish Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Thanks to previous reviewers. I only used 1 package of yeast. I browned some small chicken breast chunks in olive oil with some salt/pepper/Italian seasoning and added some bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese at the end. And I baked it for 45 minutes. Next time I'll add a little more sauce because I used homemade marinara which had chunks of tomatoes in it. Overall great flavor and my husband liked it and he's a real picky eater.

Baked Doughnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
These don't look or taste anything like donuts. Don't believe all the great reviews. I followed the directions but the batter was way too runny to be made into anything like donuts. There was way too much spice. Maybe a quick bread or muffin recipe, but not donuts.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
The best I've ever tasted. I used chicken instead and only 1 pie crust on top. Definitely a keeper.

Banana Chip Muffins I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
I made some minor changes-added butter instead of oil and buttermilk instead of regular milk. They turned out great! Very moist and yummy. These are my new favorite muffins.

Granola

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
This granola is GREAT! I toasted the almonds, added flaked coconut, dried blueberries, cranberries and apricots. My husband loves it too! The smell is even to die for. It took about 2 hours with stirring every 15 min to get crunchy. Very Yummy!
