Too Much Chocolate Cake
About this Cook
I am a mom of two cute children, one of whom loves to cook. I am the wife of my knight in shining armor. I've been cooking since the mid-80s.
My favorite things to cook
pizza, brownies, cookies, Indian-ish food
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom used to have us help with cleaning and chopping in the kitchen, but never with the complete assembly and cooking of a dish. When I left home, I could chop anything. I just couldn't cook.
My cooking triumphs
What I thought was a cooking tragedy turned out to be a cooking triumph. I accidentally broiled a batch of brownies. Much to my surprise, they were a big hit.
My cooking tragedies
Until ten years ago, I didn't realize that salt is a very important ingredient in cooking. I had a lot of cooking tragedies due to this.

Monkey Bread I
Everyone loved this! I used butter instead of margarine and I didn't use walnuts or raisins.

Onion Chicken in Balsamic Sauce
I made very minor changes: I used 3 chicken quarters instead of 2, and I simmered it, covered, on the stove for 35 minutes instead of baking it. Delicious!

Fabulous Oatmeal-Bran Cake
This is fantastic. I cut the sugar slightly and add a few additional spices, it is still a big hit with just about everyone.
