Steak Pie

Great recipe! I took the suggestion to add some carrots & potatoes & let them simmer with the meat. Tastes great every time!

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This was my first clam chowder and I won't even try another one! Super yumilicious. I did take a couple of suggestions and added 4 pieces of crispy bacon, more potatoes and baby clams (no celery and carrots, per our own tastebuds). Just because I felt like it, I added a dash of garlic powder and about 1-2 tbsp of parsley. My husband and I were fighting over the leftovers! Two thumbs up!

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
Made this as a three-layer 9"x13" cake with pineapple filling for a going away party. I was a little scared when I saw how much liquid was instructed to soak in it since it was going to be layered. I used 1.5 cans of coconut cream and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk to soak all three layers total. It could have handled more but probably not 3 cans of each, but still tasted delicious. Everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. Perfect with pineapple filling (don't be shy with that, as I wish I added more) and homemade whipped cream. I coated the sides with coconut and decorated the top with pineapple slices and a goodbye message.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
My husband and I kept talking about these all evening! The recipe for 4 easily covered 7 thin bonless chops, and I only used 2 eggs and still had plenty left over. This is definitely a keeper! Mmm-mmm-good!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Fantastic recipe as is! It's now on our favorite meals list and have several requests for the recipe. Easy to make and delicious. My hubby likes more chicken, so I now add a bit more. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Great and easy! My husband & I love it & so do the friends we've made it for. The chicken is always tender. I choose to use a little less biscuit dough, just a little more than covering the top of the chicken mixture. Yummy!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
It got great reviews at my dinner party. Time consuming but good. I did take the advice of some reviewers & added more filling and coffee & coffee liqueur. Delicious! I need to try the suggestion to leave cakes in pan, freeze a few minutes & pour coffee while in the pan since my cakes cracked a bit & didn't want to come out of the pan nicely.

WOW! These are great! I had a Cookie Making Party for some kids on summer break & this was one we made. Super good, gooey, and chocolatey. Rave reviews by everyone! I followed the recipe as listed and refrigerated the dough for about an hour and it will be a keeper!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This was a recipe I tried during a summer kids Cookie Making Party. Super delicious! I did follow advice and double the cookie recipe (not the filling) and still had too much filling, and I did pipe on the filling so as to not break the cookies. Cookies are soft & just got better as a sandwich! These were a big hit & I will keep this recipe, no doubt about it!

Grilled Chicken Salad with Seasonal Fruit

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
Just made this for dinner tonight & even my husband loved it (who only uses Thousand Island on salads no matter what)! We both loved the berries (strawberries & blackberries), the sweet dressing (I used 1/2 Splenda, 1/2 sugar and 1/2 veg oil 1/2 olive oil), and I marinated the chicken in balsamic vinaigrette as another reviewer suggested. Definitely will be making this again.
