Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Just took out of the oven 5 minutes ago and my husband has already cut into it! He said this recipe is a keeper! I also used half brown and half white sugar for the crust and topping, and used half butter/half shortening. Also, I added a teapsoon of lemon juice and vanilla to crust mixture. Added an extra tsp on starch and an extra cup of white sugar to the blueberries. In addition, I added one chopped McIntosh apple I had left over from making pies a couple of nights ago. I will be making this again!! Thank you for shaing this recipe!!

Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
First of all, my house smells wonderful!! These ribs are FANTASTIC. I followed some others and added a quartered onion, worcheshire and soy sauce (had marinated the ribs for two days in apple cider and seasonings). Boiled the ribs for an hour, turned off the heat and let them sit for an hour in the broth. Placed the ribs in a pan and slathered them with Sweet Baby Rays (my fav!!), covered with foil and baked for 30 minutes. I then flipped them over, poured another 3/4 cup of BBQ sauce and cooked for another 30 minutes covered. Broiled them on high for 5 minutes. Oh, also boiled red potatoes in the pork broth and they were amazing !! Thank you Lloyd!!

Caramel Frosting V

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
A friend of mine at work was leaving and since Im the baker in the bunch, she requested chocolate cupcakes with caramel frosting. THIS WAS THE BEST CARMEL FROSTING EVER!!! I also recommend that you let the frosting and the stick of butter sit in the fridge for at least an hour and a half and to add a couple tablespoons of the heavy whipping cream for the beating process! THIS WAS A HIT!! Thank you for the recipe!!

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
This the best buttercream recipe by far! No need to spend $1.49-1.89 for store bought icing ever again. What's great too , is that this recipe can be "doctored" up to make different flavored icing! I used a half tub of 10 oz frozen strawberries (drained)in a variation just this morning. (be careful of how much juice you add from the strawberries, may make your icing too runny) Goes fantastic with the Strawberry cake recipe that's on here too!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
It doesn't get any easier than this recipe. I did modify the recipe. I took 1/2 stick of room temp butter and spread it all underneath the skin of the chicken. Then I took papricka, pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and rotissere chicken season and rub it underneath the skin and all over the chicken. I let it sit in the fridge overnight to season. and place it in the crockpot on high for 1.5 hrs then on low for about 7hrs. It was soooo good!!

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This recipe was my first attempt at making Chicken and Dumplings and my husband said I knocked it out of the park! I sauteed have an onion and 4 cloves of garlic (both chopped). Used boneless breast and thighs. Substituted chicken broth for water, added cream of chicken and cream of potato soup and made dumplings following the Biquick box! I will definitely make this again and again! Thank you to whomever posted this recipe!
