Low Guilt Fudge Truffle Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
I love chocolate. Forget sugar cookies and gingerbread men. Christmas is less than a week an I'm making these brownies. They're in the oven now, the batter was gerat! thick a mousse-like. I put them in Silicone snowman cupcake..thing an a medium sized Silicone Santa. Cute! I love that the only fat is from the chocolate..yuumm so worth it! Though what am I saying; I'll update when they come out.

German Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
I LOVED IT !!! Made this chocolate coconutty deliciousness for Thanksgiving, an def for dates in the future. I followed the recipe exact, though used some whipping cream because my milk was skim. I also tasted the coconut layer out of the pan, thought it wasn't flavorful enough, an added a gush of vanilla. Not recommended. It's already terrific, inside and out. I did have quarry about the cooled chocolate 'pudding'. It was shiney with oil, lil puddles decorating the surface, I used a couple paper towels to soak it up and mooved on. My pie was baked in a chocolate Oreo crust that I thought went great, or rather what I could taste after trying to saw it out of the pan. Next time I'll be prepared! Thank you so much! Again-such wonderful, nommy, german chocolate pleasure.

Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
Hesitant on whether to rate this a four or five; until I experiment with other recipes, a five will do. Is it just me or does flour not mix well with pumpkin? It was like an off-white marble affect that could look cool, but to me, the baker, it's aggravating. I'm not sure I love the the texture of the cake either..but maybe that's because it's a sponge cake? Maybe..I'll keep trying; they're fun!! thanks for making it so easy an anti-climatic ;)

Followed recipe exactly, with exception of forgetting the sugar and vigorously beating it in after the eggs. It's delicious! I've already eaten too much. Perfect for the strawberry trifle birthday dessert

Old-Fashioned Vanilla Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
First time making pudding from scratch [[besides making banana cream pie]]!! I think it was the wonky stove but it has unattractive brown speckles throughout..though it doesn't smell burnt. It's for a strawberry trifle, so whipped cream will be added, but I def need to work on my pudding-making skills! Maybe chocolate would be easier..Thank you very much for sharing =) it still tastes good

Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
If I hadn't of tried them for myself, they'd sure be getting 5 stars. But alas, I was left wanting a more robust pb flavor. More mmm that's peanutty delcious. My aunt Kathy had graciously requested a regular, soft pb cookie an these seemed perfect. She called them the 'bomb'. Awesome. They were indeed soft an chewy, done at the specified time, convinient to make with cold butter. I think I'll try a couple more out before I come back to this one

Monster Cookies IV

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
The day I made these was the last day I'd make anything in my kitchen for a long while. While mixing up the dough, workers were going in an out of our house to recooperate the flood damage to our house. This unfortunate circumstance shyed me into not baking the dough that day. It was my first time making this recipe, an don't handle flops well. *However, once we made it to our temporary home, I scooped them right out an everyone scraped them right up. They were GOOD.

Super Moist Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Poor recipe was rayed one * so I had to try it out!! I don't jnow any quick bread or bread that takes "25 minutes" so I kept an eye an a toothpick on it. UPDATE:: After said an done, this recipe was quite good for a low sugar, low fat recipe. I couldn't bring myself to use 3 TBLS of cinnamon an vanilla or measure my zucchini, per se, but it wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping. Thought the texture was *great* really tried to drain every drop out. Also had the delight in using homemade, reduced sugar, applesauce. It's unfortunate that the first reviewer had to start it off with such a downcast appearance. Def deserving of more than 1 star!! ~thank you for sharing

After tryo\ing your choc. chip oatmeal breafast cookies, boy was I eager to try these!! I had fresh blueberreis, one lone lemon, an a camping trip coming up, They taste *good* quite good. I gave 4 stars as I wasn't sold on the tewxture, ie bits of chewy cereal. Maybe becaise I used honey nut? If I were to make again, I's sub with more oats. ~~Make sure they're well cooke, esp if using fresh berries or they will be too soft an ugly ;)

Cheesy Onion Focaccia

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This smelled sooo good. I couldn't push myself to try a full bite- butter friggles me out. However- it was eaten with gusto right out of the oven. I can overlook my dad's smothering it with butter an garlic salt, as he is a walking heart attack that salts his salt and butter's his grease. He says with his additions it tastes like the butter-sodden grease bread at Little Ceasers [[that he raves about *every time*]]. First time making focaccia, an I thank you ^_^ en el futuro yo espero que sea más sano

Buttermilk Mango-Berry Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
This lasted..less than 48 hours. It was that amazing. I didn't even make the crumb topping, but rather sprinkled Sugar in the Raw on top. Used milk an vinegar vs. buttermilk an subbed in blueberries. Everything followed exact an, as previously stated, it dissapeared. Madre is already asking for me to make it again!! Loved the top crunch an, an, ooo I'll be making again. Thanks for your loving recipe, it's spot on spectacular.

Chocolate Chip Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
Wow, can't believe how good these are right now!! Doubling the recipe just isn't enough here- they're delicious. Actually remind me of my grandma's Cowboy Cookies that are for sure not diet friendly. I wasn't sure if the recipe meant for me to beat in the applesauce so I played it safe an did not. Will DEFINATELY be these many many times to come. mmm THANKS for posting!!!

Homemade Girl Scout Cookies: Thin Mints | Baking Bites

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
Pretty good :o) I fail, always, at icebox cookies. They don't come out round or evenly shaped. Chocolate dipping is a fixed frusteration; why won't it go on smooth and even!?! *cough*ridiculoso*cough* For these reasons I didn't post a photo. The ones that I did churn out were indeed yummy, though I don't think I sliced them thinly enough as they weren't real crunchy unless refridgerated, which were then a lil hard. I didn't get very far in the whole dipping process, likee maybe a 1/3 of the cookies. I'm thinking of maybe turning them into a cookie cheesecake crust or ice cream sundae..not sure yet. Thanks for posting

Chicken and black bean enchiladas with gooey cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
"Thanks for dinner, it was pretty good." That's all I ask for =) I blubbed some of the ingredients, such as losing my garlic bulbs; forgetting to sub the fresh cilantro, an draining the chiles. Made 6 enchiladas, perfect. Not to mention the ease!! For a last second meal, thank you very much I wish I could find my camera or phone cord..

Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I'd first like to thank you for resonding to my reqeust on the RE, your bread fit my banana bread needs!! I had 3 frozen naners, pretty big, which I think was the culprit for my issues with baking through. Then again I have issues every time I make banana bread..haha. I stuck with trusty butter an used half brown, half white sugars, an followed everything else exact. It was quite delicious, thank you. It's already half gone in the same evening =D

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
I *nearly* followed the recipe exact!! Whoo ^_^ I used both shortening an butter, but less than a cup's worth total. That's the only mod. made. From the pic [[that I posted]] you may be able to tell the rather flattened cookies,,not plump. They weren't as soft as Ii was hoping for, ie like the Award Winning on this site, but they were a hit. I made them just a couple days in advance to take camping with us an had frozen them. Come time to leave, there were but 3 left in the ziploc O.o There are pigs here..but they know what they like!! So thank you

Really, this was amazing. If my opinion counts for anything, make this!! Sooo goood it's delcious. Can't believe I was hesitant to make it. I made it to take camping so of course the milk was already packed, so I subbed it with heaping sour cream. Everything else exact. It did not dissapoint an if this blog is anything like this bread, OMG. [[Made 6 muffins an one small loaf pan]].

Peach Cobbler for Two

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
FIRST cobbler I've ever made. No idea what the consistancy of the mixture or topping should be. I made it in a tortila holder. My peaches were in dire need of use, some mushy and beginning to go bad. I did not measure them, just prepared all 6 of the tiny things and ~tried to slice them. As they were past their prime, I felt the need to up the sugar to ensure its sweetness. I agree that the topping could definitely be upped; had to use my spoon and fingers to try to distribute it over all. I did not measure the 'teaspoons' of butter but assumed that 3 tsp=1TBLS. Overall though I did try to follow the recipe, honest!! I even added the zest which is taking a pretty big risk in this lame household. =D UPDATE:: Well, SUCCESS!!! It was all eaten the same day ^_^ thank you very much for sharing this conviniently sized yumminess
