Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
Perfect! I was looking for something that would be quick and delicious. I needed to be able to see both the biscuit and the gravy recipe. The only sausage available to be doesn't give off a lot of grease, and this recipe depended on butter to help make the gravy. It was perfect. I did reduce the amount of sausage to have a more gravy-like gravy. My husband said this was "the best homemade biscuits and gravy" he has ever had. That is saying something!

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2007
This was really good. My son told me before he ate any that he wasn't going to like it, but he tried it and loved it. I did it in a bundt pan and with the topping in the middle. This cake was still moist and delicious on the third day. Will do this one again!

I thought it was pretty good. My picky 5-year old asked for seconds. I used cinnamon in this dish.

Apple Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
Wonderful! I didn't thaw the meat ahead of time, so I cooked the chicken on high in the crockpot for two hours, then I cut the chicken up and put it back in the pot with everything else. Then I cooked it on low for 10 hours, so I could serve it for an early lunch. It worked out really well, and I will use this recipe again. Next time, though, I might use the suggested cornstarch to thicken it a bit.

Yakitori Don

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
Very good. I used chicken breast meat and took the skin off before cooking. We enjoyed this dish fresh carrots and boiled soybeans (edamame). I also served it in a Japanese lunch box.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
Out of this world delicious. The real test came when we couldn't eat all of the rolls. I put the leftovers in the fridge, and over the next three days my family finished off the cinnamon rolls. We warmed them in the oven and they were just as good as the first day. This is definitely a keeper!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
These were really good. Before I baked the cookies, I used the back of a spatula to push down the cookies. This made the cookies look better and prepared them to be iced if you opt to do that. I used the Butterream Icing recipe that I had left over from another recipe, and the cookies were very delicious. Very easy to make and very tasty, I will definitely use this recipe again.

The Extreme Cherry Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
This was a good moist cake. I don't have access to maraschino cherries, but I did use canned cherries that I found in my local grocery. The cherries were packed in water, whick I used in the recipe. Overall, I don't think the cake was as sweet without the maraschino cherries, but it worked really well. I used a buttercream icing with this cake, and my company raved about the cake and icing. If I find maraschino cherries, I will definitely try this recipe using those.

Buttercream Icing

Wonderful! Even my picky 5-year old liked it. I did the 3/4 butter and 1/4 shortening. It was easy to make, easy to spread, and very delicious!

English Muffin Loaves

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
I absolutely loved this recipe. I live where I cannot get English without going to a special store and paying an arm and a leg for 4 muffins. This loaf recipe is perfect. I spent way less to make this recipe than it would cost me for just the 4 muffins. The only thing I did differently was to dust the top with cornmeal too!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
Very delicious. My company commented on how moist and fluffy the muffins were. The crumble topping was also very good. It gave the standard banana muffin character!

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
Very good. I made a few adjustment from the beginning. I used 1 cup of warm milk instead of the water and the powdered milk. I used 1 Tbs. of olive oil instead of the butter. I added 1/2 Tbs. each of died basil and oregano. I used 2 cups wheat flour and 1 cup white flour. I also used three cloves of Garlic, minced. It was most delicious out of the bread maker, hot, and with butter spread on the top. The only disappointing thing was waiting for the bread maker to finish baking the bread.

I love this salad. I sometimes like to leave the parmesan cheese out of the dressing.
