Me (Brenda) and my son :)
About this Cook
I live on a small farm with my husband, son, 6 horses, 4 Texas Long Horns, 3 dogs and 1 cats. I love to cook, but hate thinking of things to make. I'm not one to follow a recipe word for word, I like to mix it up.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken with a cream sauce, Kielbasa and Sauerkraut, Chili, Chocolate Chip Cookies....and the list goes on and on. Stinky Breath Salad is a must in my family, oh it's called Marshall Salad. Gotta love fresh garlic :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ah... baking during the holidays. We always had so much fun baking cookies for Santa. We also love grilling in the summer. I love making reeses peanut butter cups with my niece...they are a HUGE hit!
My cooking triumphs
Cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner for my husband, my 4 sisters and all their children.... ah it was good. They got to do dishes :)
My cooking tragedies
Oh I know I've had some. I know I have burned many things in my day, just none of them are coming to me at the moment.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I
Very Very good. Easy to make. I will never buy store bought again. Keeping in mind this is a base and easy to add spices, garlic and salt and pepper to. My family loves when I make this. We also like to add bacon, pepperoni, broccoli and chicken to the sauce right before it thickens. I also keep some sauce on the side for left overs the next day. This is a great recipe and very easy to make. You can add whatever you want to please your family.

Babe Ruth Bars
These are so good. It's amazing how much they taste like the real thing. They are always a hit when I take them to parties.

Bev's Chocolate Pie
This is one of the best chocolate pies I have every had. It's easy and nice to cut it without all the water left in the dish. I'm thinking it's so good because of all the sugar :) Thanks for submitting, it's really good and always a hit.
