My cooking triumphs

Biggest triumph was probably grilling the Thanksgiving turkey. It was my idea so luckily it worked out and the family didn't go hungry! I've grilled the turkey now 3 years in a row.

My cooking tragedies

Grilled shrimp. Worked out great on my grill but at someone elses house their grill was much hotter and I literally fried all the shrimp/veggie skeweres. Otherwise, luckily no major flops,,, yet!

Enchiladas

Very Tasty! I improvised like the others. Added fajita seasoning to the meat, 4 cloves diced garlic and added some sauce and cheese in each wrap. Garnished the top with green chilis and diced olives and topped each serving with shredded lettuce and sour cream. A side of mexican rice topped it all off. Turned out great!

Creme Brulee II

*NOTE* Some reviewers said there's didn't set or it took too long in the oven. Mine did too the first time. The second time I put the pan with the wet towel in the oven while it preheated. This heats up the wet towel so when you put in the ramekins and add the boiling water it starts cooking immediately. It then will only take the 25 to 30 minutes instead of 1 to 1/2 hours. Huge difference! Oh, and you do need to add the extra egg! It's incredibly delicious!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

What an awesome dish! I also boiled the chicken and veggies in chicken broth and as other reviewers had suggested, added a little more milk and a little more broth, but then I had to add some corn starch to get the right thickness. It wasn't dry at all and next time I may even let it cool completely before serving. When I first served it it wanted to run. After being in the frig over night it set up perfectly and heated up great for leftovers. I will definately make this again!
