I love the cream puffs!
My First Attempt At Making Cream Puffs!
About this Cook
Hey, everyone. My name is Chris. I'm a San Francisco native and I'm 23 years old. I've just started out baking, but I've wanted to try my hand at it for a few years now. It's quite a nice feeling seeing others enjoy the end-product of your time and labor. I would really like to make a viable/lucrative career out of it one day, perhaps even owning my very own bakery! We'll see!
My favorite things to cook
Cooking has always fascinated me, maybe even more so because I wasn't allowed near the oven or stove growing up! Baking especially piques my interest; How those bakers create all those fanciful patries and desserts just wows me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
In my family, it has been tradition that every year at Thanksgiving I get to make the cranberry sauce! I like to try something new every year. This past year, I decided to add a citrus-y twist to the sauce, adding orange zest and a bit of pineapple juice to it. The family loved it.
My cooking triumphs
My latest success has been making cream puffs!
My cooking tragedies
I've had a few!

Rosenmunnar
I love these cookies! They're so easy to make and the end results are just fantastic. They make your whole kitchen smell like sweet, buttery heaven! My only change to this recipe was adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dough, which yielded very tasty cookies. I used both apricot and raspberry preserves to fill in the thumbprints. I must say I do like the raspberry best! These little cookies are very pretty too, looking like precious jewel-topped cream-colored morsels. I have already made a few batches, and I will be making these again and again. Thanks for the recipe, Crandall!

Panna Cotta
I followed this recipe exactly; WOW! It was just fantastic! It was creamy and had a wonderful vanilla flavor to it! I will probably use a little less sugar next time, perhaps a 1/3 of a cup. Otherwise, this recipe is definitely in my permanent list of desserts. It was incredibly easy and incredibly quick, and the end results were both satisfying and yummy! You can't go wrong with this recipe. I finished the panna cotta off with a raspberry preserve/water mixture and spread the sauce over it. My family was impressed! I will take the advice of some of the other reviewers as well and use real whole vanilla beans next time for an even more impressive presentation!
