About this Cook
MY FAMILY CAME FROM THE SOUTH AND MID-WEST. MOSTLY SMALL TOWN PEOPLE. THEREFORE THEY AND I COOK ON THE CHEAP. MORE VEGATABLES, LESS MEAT. BUT MY MOTHER TRIED ANYTHING THAT WAS ETHNIC. SO OUR TABLE WAS USUALLY "INTERNATIONAL". I STILL COOK THAT WAY TODAY.
My favorite things to cook
FISH. CHICKEN. VEGATABLES.
My favorite family cooking traditions
INTERNATIONAL
My cooking triumphs
A HAM THAT I COOKED IN GINGER-ALE.
My cooking tragedies
SAUSAGE CAKE. MY MOM DIED WITHOUT LEAVING THE RECIPE. AND MY STILL TRYING TO FIND ONE LIKE IT. MINE CAME OUT TERRIBLE!!!!

Pork Tamale Pie
I LIVE ALONE SO I USED THE CALCULATOR FOR 2. UNLESS YOU ARE USE TO COOKING WITH CORN MEAL IT COULD BE A PROBLEM (NOT KNOWING WHAT TO LOOK FOR AS THE MEAL COOKS). IT CAME OUT GREAT! WE ALL ADD OUR OWN TOUCHES. BUT AS WITH ONE PERSONS IDEA I ADDED CHEESE TO THE TOP BEFORE BAKING. THANKS OF THE TIP!

I OMITTED THE BROWN SUGAR AND ALSO USED SOY SAUCE. I PUT ONE TABLESPOON OF WATER IN PAN THEN THE SPINACH TO WILT DOWN A BIT THEN ADDED THE SESAME SEEDS CRUSHED WITH THE OIL. CAME OUT GREAT. TWO OF MY FAVORITES. SESAME SEEDS AND SPINACH.
