I grew up in the Bowie/Crofton area of Maryland, and went to College in Towson Maryland. Relocated to the Chicago area (suburbs) in 2003 for work and have been here ever since. I miss the eastern shore, especially all of the shellfish and particularly steamed blue crabs!

My husband and I actually love smoking all sorts of meat in the months where it is warm enough. We also love experimenting with different methods of meat preparation / cooking i.e., brining, deep frying.
I also love making all kinds of appetizers.

My cooking triumphs
Just made my first prime rib on Christmas. I had always been nervous to cook one because it's such an expensive cut. Turned out perfect, and I just made another one on New Year's Day.
My cooking tragedies
I always seem to screw up pizza crust. It is either too sticky, or turns out too floppy after cooking. When I make pizza dough from scratch, I always make sure I have a can of the refrigerated crust in the fridge. This is the next challenge I need to overcome!
