Lite Carrot Cake
Honey Nut Granola
About this Cook
I recently finished baking & pastry school and am currently working as a baker in a small coffee shop. I love cooking and baking at home, especially during the holidays.
My favorite things to cook
comfort food, ethnic food, desserts... I love cooking big themed dinners and holiday meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas dinner, hands down. Roasted Turkey, the perfect bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade buns, cranberry/orange sauce, creamed corn, and the best sandwiches the next day.
My cooking triumphs
Making my first turkey dinner.
My cooking tragedies
When i was about 13 years old i attempted to make a pavlova; the egg whites whipped up beautifully and everything looked fine...until we tasted it. I had forgotten to add the sugar! It was disgusting...but pretty funny.

Honey Nut Granola
so good! i doubled the batch and gave out as christmas gifts. I agree with some of the others that it could use a bit more honey. I made the recipes as follows, but added some orange zest with the honey/oil mixture. I also mixed dried cranberries, blueberries and raisins after it cooled. I lined my cookie sheets with foil and let it cool on the pan - no problems with clean up!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
Quite good. I found the sausage to be a bit too much, especially when eaten along side turkey; i will probably use about half the listed amount next time. Also, i did not add the liver and used chicken stock instead of turkey. The slight sweetness of the apples and cranberries was wonderful!

Best Bruschetta Ever
Simple and delicious. I added a bit of grated mozzarella on top in addition to the parmesan.
